Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

I usually use a soap for a work week and then mix it up a bit on the weekends. That was before this 3017 that started like 97 days ago, or maybe it was only 16 days. The more I look at this tub, I think it may last until April.

Razor: Timeless .68
Blade: Dorco Titan (1)
Soap/cream: Chiseled Face Trade Winds (16)
Brush: Stirling Marble
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Chiseled Face Trade Winds (16)

Well first sorry I didn't respond to everyone individually just have been SLAMMED, more on that soon. Anyways the shave today went well. Not much to really add. 16 days of the same soap will do that to you. And what feels like 8 days of the same blade as well, even though they technically are a different Dorco blade.

Busy busy busy! Yesterday I had a meeting with our financial planner going over information, reviewing our finances and making adjustments. Today my phone decided to poop out on me and I had to do a complete wipe and reboot to get it back in working order. Then was on the phone with a guest speaker for an hour we are having speak at our parish in April. Then it has just been fire after fire at work. So putting on fire fighting hat and heading back to the conference room. Oh boy!

Thanks for reading guys. It is just a crazy time at work right now. And yes I could use some muffins.

Was just told that they want to relocate my team to a totally different floor now, and I am losing my window office overlooking the golf course! UGH!!! My new office will now overlook the parking lot.

Well had a good shave no issues here. But I am glad to be done with Dorco blades, they are just average for me. I have a a couple tucks laying around and can see myself using them for travel. The soap is getting that thin look at the bottom center. I think I will break through in a couple shaves.

Had a nice game last night but it was a blow out so no real stories. Perhaps I will have one tonight. We are gearing up for a big storm to hit Sunday and Monday. And here I was hoping for Spring. I guess winter is here a little longer

This may be good! You can send out your team gopher to mess with people’s cars then record the happenings for our enjoyment!

Bummer about the work move Chad. Nice shave. Of course I’ve been following along in the Bad Blade thread also. Sounds like I might need to designate my tuck of Dorco blades to my travel kit for the Soring Training trip. They seem to be good enough to get me through some quick shaves that don’t need to be insanely close.

Well it seems like everyone is experiencing storms this weekend! I hope everyone stays safe and bundles up!

Sorry to hear about the office window Chad. My wife is considered an executive level employee at her agency...so she gets some perks to the job. A few months ago she was told that she was going to have to move from her really nice BIG office that overlooked the levees of the Mississippi River to a much smaller office that had the scenic view of the parking lot...so the agency could accommodate the Accounting Department. It had something to do with how the network wiring was laid out in the building! It sucks...but it happens to everyone!

Have a great weekend!

Thanks for reading Don.

My office is going to open floor concept. I am just happy that I am one of the few that actually gets an office.

Well don't want to give away too much on the blade as it is uploading to YouTube but let's just say better than the Dorcos. The lather was real good once again. So I have that going for me.

Yup that happened today.

Yesterday had a game that went well, it was a nice close game but nothing crazy happened. Today I am doing another two games. Sadly with the referee shortage we have to do some HS games on Saturdays, if only the powers that be realized that if they made some changes at the top more officials would probably join up. Anyways hope you all have a great saturday.

That’s a bummer. Some of the departments at my wife’s company did that. Since then I’ve read studies that show it decreases effectiveness and communication. People put their ear phones in to filter out distractions. And people are less likely to walk over to have a conversation cause everyone overhears and it’s distracting to others.

People make a cubicle of the mind then? Lol.

I for one have had a cubicle in some form or fashion for the past eight years. One of our investigators, Richard, just retired and I am in line for his office. I am so excited! But my supervisor asked that I don't move in until March 1st...after the OFFICIAL day of Richard's retirement. Just in case he wants to come back. Well Richard is having surgery on his neck on Tuesday with a recovery time of about two months. Yeah...he won't be back. So I have to look at a perfectly good office that will be empty for the next month and a half until I can move in!

Good shave yesterday Chad! Don't overdo it though with the games...no need to burn yourself out!

That was my biggest argument but they aren't listening.

Thanks Don. Perhaps Richard would appreciate if you box up his stuff.

Trying to not get burned out. I have a few days off. I was asked to work a tournament tomorrow. I said no.
