Good shave!

Glad the bingo night was a fun time. Is it actually for the Knights or are you putting it on for a different group?

Dude that is no joke! I went to Costco last night for just some milk, cream, and eggs. I ended up with a WHOLE lot more! Let's just say that when the Missus asked How much Costco was I had to mutter the amount in a very hushed tone.
I think Costco is on my list today too. Fortunately all I am aware we need is dog food and a flu shot for the mrs. I am pretty confident we won’t go over budget at the pharmacy BUT I might need to add Whskey to my list so I have an excuse to visit that section too...

i hear they they still have the 2 packs of squatty potty’s, I might just break down and get one. I’m thinking my Rudolph buddy might like one.

$200 today there. $400 there yesterday for my eyes. Ugh I hate that store.

It is our biggest fundraiser for our council. We average 150 to 180 players every Friday. The money we raise all stays at our council to fund our programs. Like coats for kids, providing a full Thanksgiving dinner to 100 needy families, and also paying the schools mortgage each month.

I wish our Costco could sell liquor. Sadly Utah law won't allow it.

Sounds like my trips to Harbor Freight! I enjoy your journals a lot. Uncle Jon's is something I've never tried. I'll have to look them up.

Nice reads Chad. I gotta get an exam and new glasses.

I was shocked at how much my prescription changed. And I go every year, due to blindness running in my family. Thankfully everything was healthy. Doc just said getting old.

My wife won't let me live it down, especially since 30 is a couple months away, which I don't think is old.

Oh that's another expensive store!

I hit 30 in September. Got my first set of glasses last year. Was the last in my family to get them. It was funny too cause I had no idea what I couldn't see till I had the scrips on. Apparently my depth perception was a few inches off.

Dude...I stay WAY away from the liquor section! And since you visited that part of the store...I am assuming you went way over budget yourself...

I've been in glasses for a LONG time!

The liquor section is dangerous. One year my wife and I where in Vegas and stopped in to get some stuff, and we stocked up! Apparently they get a lot of Utahns because as the lady was checking us out she goes, "you from Utah?" Apparently the cart full of liquor gave us away LOL

Razor: Game Changer .84
Blade: Gillette Nacet (1)
Soap/cream: Stirling Barbershop
Brush: Stirling Finest Fan
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Stirling Barbershop
EdT: Stirling Barbershop

Well what a shave today! Wow this Game Changer is well uh... Game Changing! Honestly to get a machined stainless steel razor at this price is just fantastic. Kudos to Razorock for doing this. Instant satisfaction. I did a 3 pass shave today and walked away with a wonderful BBS+ shave, no irritation at all that's for sure. I went all out with Stirling Barbershop today which is a favorite scent of mine, and also my wife. The full experience is fantastic!

Homefront:

Nothing too crazy to report today. Had a great day yesterday with a Utes win, and an Irish win. We had a nice dinner yesterday too. This evening we will be spending it with my wife's mom, so should be another nice evening. Then back to work tomorrow.

Hope you all have a relaxing Sunday.

Yassss! Another GC concert!

Good shave man, happy Sunday.

About prescription glasses, I’m surprised mine actually hasn’t changed all the much since high school (a secret between you, me, and the internet - I’m still wearing the very same glasses I graduated junior college with 15 years ago). I’m going to try and get in an an appointment for new ones though this year, regardless of if my prescription has changed or not. Need to update the frames at least for the new millennium...lol.

Our vision insurance is actually very good. So I tend to get new glasses every other year.

Well second use with the Game Changer and I am in love! I must say I am very happy with this purchase, and glad that it replaced my 6S which was also a very good razor. I just prefer the Game Changer. I reached for a soap that I haven't used in awhile the Capt Choice North. This is a wonderful cold weather scent in my opinion and I really enjoy it. I said it in my video and I am going to say it again, the Game Changer reminds me of the British Gillette Aristocrat that I borrowed from CMH737. This is a worthy razor.

Well not much to talk about today. Received some pretty somber news this morning. My uncle's mom passed away last night. All i'll say is if you suspect suicide please call someone, do not ignore the signs.

have a great day Cadre.

I was blessed to have excellent vision for many years. It wasn't till I hit about 47ish that I had to go with some "cheaters" because my arms weren't long enough. Then, at 50, it went progressives full time and been that way since. I hate wearing glasses!

Nice shave and sorry to hear Chad of the family news. I know from experience sometimes when you don't even suspect it, it happens. So sad !!

About the game changer.... where is it at on the aggressive scale? Which plate of the 6S would you compare it to?

I think I got my first pair of glasses at age 12 or so. I don't mind wearing glasses actually. But I am considering doing Lasik.

Thanks Dave.

You can definitely feel the blade, but it doesn't feel unsafe. I would probably rate my .84 blade at about the Rockwell 4 or 5 but probably closer to the 5.

Sorry to hear about your family’s loss Chad. My wife’s side of the family just had something similar happen recently to a long time friend of the family. Her memorial was just this last weekend.

It is quite sobering. Prayers for comfort sent!

Some great soap choices these past couple days. Its been far too long sing I used the Capt Choice North, that is a scent that is very enjoyable.

I did end up going to Costco but my bill was far lower than you might expect. I didn't bother with the liquor isle (just wasn't feeling it) and stuck with the very short list. My wife was waiting for her flu shot while I ran through and grabbed everything, I spent about $100 and was checked out and had my stuff in the back of the truck before my wife finished her flu shot.
