Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Well I've officially completed one full month at my new job. It has definitely been an adjustment, especially with the new shift and commute. But it sure feels great to appreciated again for my contributions at work
Great to hear! I hope to see you around here more once you get your bearings again. Praying for you!

Excellent news! Congrats on the new job.

Studying for these licenses has been a big pain, but the end is in sight. I take the tests in January.

The job is wonderful, I'm really enjoying what I do, even though it is demanding.

Huge shout-out to my TSC partners @BarberDave and @CBLindsay as I've been MIA more then I've been present. The end is in sight and I look forward to being a regular participant once again!

Last week I did get the opportunity to work a championship game in football what an honor to be told I finished the regular season as the highest ranked official at my position, which meant I got to choose which classification I worked.

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!DSC00897.jpg20251120_121101.jpgDSC00929.jpgDSC00853.jpgIMG_20251121_224659.png

Really cool Chad. The hat looks a little silly but that’s a small price to pay for officiating such a prestigious game. Better be careful, once you complete those licenses you will be allowed to manage pro athletes $. Oh wait, that could be a conflict of interest, better refer those guys to me.

On a serious note, those exams are tough but once they are done the job gets easier. The hardest part about those exams is that they ask ‘which is the MOST correct answer to this super stupid question” not which is actually correct. I did all of my exams within 6 weeks so I didn’t have to remember everything that was being crammed into my head for very long. You’ll be fine I’m sure.
