Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Getting caught up here, WOW both knees down. I think I mentioned this already but last year (maybe 18 months ago now) my daughter dislocated her knee while dancing. A simple issue of "The body spins...but the foot stayed planted". The dislocation was pretty incredible but nothing actually tore away. She ended up needing surgery to remove a bone chip and a torn portion of a couple of the tendons (don't recall which). It sounds like your player may have done similar, planted feet (darn new cleats) and pivoted. Amazing how such injuries can happen.

Great choice of soap for a Friday shave!

I love the shave setup! I too just wanted a DFS and make it a comfortable one! Have fun at the games tonight and hopefully no one gets hurt!

Thank you everyone for the nice comments from my shave on Friday. Hope you all had a great weekend are having a blessed Sunday. Here was my shave.

Razor: Muhle R41
Blade: Gillette & O' Clock Yellow
Soap/cream: Irisch Moos
Brush: Maggard's Synthetic
Aftershave1: Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Irisch Moos

Well this morning I wanted to grab a soap I haven't used in awhile and I reached for the Moos! What an awesome scent I just love this soap. Too bad it isn't made anymore so I don't use it as much as I would like. But when I do at least it delivers a great shave. All in all a great shave. I did not take a picture though for some reason. But I did record the shave and it is already up.

Homefront

Well after a really happy feeling for Notre Dame and a really sad feeling for my Utes. Another day is upon us and I am ready to tackle it head on. Heading into church soon and then later this afternoon we are having a Knights of Columbus family BBQ so should be a fun day. Hope you all have a great Sunday. I am trying to play catch up!

Razor: Gillette Long Comb
Blade: Gillette & O' Clock Yellow
Soap/cream: Razorock Fine American Blend
Brush: Razorock Plissoft
Aftershave1: Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Fine American Blend

Well today was a nice shave with the Open Comb razor that I have not used in who knows how long. Not sure why this razor got put into the abyss. But I think I am going to have to pull it out more often. I used an OLD Razorock soap that is over 4 years old, and it was a collaboration with them and Fine. The scent is very nice and the menthol is always a nice surprise. The shave went real well, but this soap formula is not near as good as current offerings let along Razorock's newest formula with the argan oil. I did however get a nice shave and am pretty much BBS minus one spot on my lower neck.

Homefront:

Preparing for high winds, LOTS of rain, and potential flooding of roads. All this from the remnants of Hurricane Rosa. It should hit late tonight into tomorrow. Thankfully the house is on a hill so not too worried about flooding, but they are saying expect standing
water in areas. Looking forward to the rain. We definitely need it!

Good shave Chad. Hope the flooding is minimal! Is it a possible stay home from work day?

Thanks Chris and I highly doubt it! Our storm drains are pretty good for run off from our snow. I have driven to work after it snowed 14 inches during the night before. It takes a LOT to shut our state down. People joke about walking to school in snow etc. Well in 1998 I literally walked to school in 3 feet of snow. Well on top of the snow.

If there is one thing I will give kudos to our state it is that they handle weather on the roadways pretty well. So I am sure we will be fine. However with the way some are talking about the amount of rain we are due to get it could cause problems on smaller side streets.

SIM - yes sir!

And I had a tub of that original Fine American Blend/RR soap - the scent was so faint, it barely registered a 1/5 on the SOS scale. It was a major bummer.

Up hill both ways grandpa Chad?! Tell us more!

Only one way sadly.

Suprisingly I think the scent has gotten stronger over time. Maybe a 2/5 now.

Also thanks again for the Moos!!!

Razor: Gillette Long Comb
Blade: Gillette & O' Clock Yellow (4)
Soap/cream: Tabac
Brush: Stirling Boar
Aftershave1: Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Tabac

Well yesterday's shave went so well with the Gillette LC I opted to go for it again. And I must say it again not sure why I put this razor in the abyss. I am getting great results from it that is for sure. I whipped up a nice lather of Tabac and man this stuff is good. One of the best commercial soaps on the market that is for sure. I wrapped up the shave with a healthy splash of Tabac with the hope that Don can smell it down in Louisiana.
