Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

I took pics the day I did it last month but deleted them. The husband said a friend gave them to his wife and then added, they ain't no real friend

The weird thing is we never planted it. And I don't recall seeing it until last year. Which is why I thought it was a weed. That is until I started removing it and realized it was a tree and did some google searching.

Says everyone until they are 3 deep into shots at the Cosmo in Vegas and end up the 2nd of 3 to get the TSC logo on their shoulder that night.
Yep, I can see it now, right across the shoulder blades - “The Shaving Cader”

Razor: Colonial General
Blade: Feather Super (4)
Soap/cream: Catie's Bubbles Irish Coffee
Brush: TSC Member Brush
Aftershave1: Thayer's Cucumber
Aftershave2: Floid Blue

Well I had the best intentions this morning to do a bad blade shave, but last night hit the hay a little early and didn't get the research done. I had the Feather super blade sitting out so loaded it in the General and proceeded to have a nice but very aggressive shave. It is C day so went with the Catie's Bubbles soap. This is the only one I still have in my den currently and it is a nice Tier 1 soap. I do enjoy it. The shave was a little rough in trouble spots with this extra sharp blade but I still managed to get a very nice DFS+ shave today.

It is my friday. And thus very busy in the office which is why this post is late today. Tomorrow I go the University of Utah for referee clinic which will last 3 days. Big change coming to High School football this year! The 40 second play clock is being introduced. While I think this is great for the game, I am concerned about the clock operator. Very few get the game clock right now we expect them to operate two clocks correctly. Oh boy! Anyways hope you all have a great day!

I would need a few more than 3 shots before I even thought about a tattoo. Not that I am against them, just lack the creativity to pick a meaningful design (that I would not later be explaining to a public defender or judge) I also get bored just sitting there so it would have to be fast.

Somewhere between 4 and 6 shots gets me tackled by Disneyland security, I think Tattoos happen somewhere between "tackled by security (FOR NO REASON) " and putting a severed horse head in the deans bed.

Razor: Timeless .68
Blade: Feather Hi-Stainless (1)
Soap/cream: Godrej Soap
Brush: Razorock Disruptor
Aftershave1: Thayer's Cucumber
Aftershave2: Avon Deep Woods

Well I did shave the last few days but didn't track anything here. Although I did skip Saturday due to exhaustion. But the shave today was wonderful. I really like this small puck of Godrej goodness. Which many refer to as the Indian Williams. But guess what the soap doesn't play the disappearing act LOL. As of writing this I am caught up on journals so now I need to get caught up on Videos. That will take some time.

Well sorry for being MIA but physical and mental exhaustion had set in. Thursday thru Saturday I was at officiating camp for basketball. Basically trying out for college conferences, and being reviewed by the high school board. This is a huge tournament held at the University of Utah where they invite all the Utah high schools and surrounding states. And they go tournament style for 3 days to crown a champion. The games are super competitive and while they don't mean anything trust me the kids want to win. We as officials pay to go here, and it basically consists of each day starting at 7AM with classroom instruction. Games start at 9AM, a break in the afternoon, and then the last game is at 8PM. When we are not on the court we are watching the film of our previously worked game being coached by NBA, WNBA, and NCAA officials. Then we go right back out and work another game. I worked 5 on Thursday, 7 on Friday, and 5 on Saturday. I learned a LOT and feel like a much better official after going. I only had one lapse of judgement. During a game I had a two female partners and there was one fan the WHOLE game who just berated all 3 of us NON STOP! It so bad that at one point one of the evaluators she is a WNBA and DIV 1 NCAA official went over and started yelling at the fan. Then at the end of the game this fan walked onto the court over to our officials huddle where we are talking to the 8 evaluators and he started yelling at all 3 of us. I finally called him a jackass and yelled back. I was then reminded I need to be careful as we never know who is recording. I had just hit a breaking point and had enough. Just hard to take when I paid to be there, but still I can't do that. Oh well. Fast forward to Saturday I was called in, and was put on the alternate list for DIV3. So I was super excited about that. Now I need to switch full force to Football mind as the season is right around the corner.

Super busy this summer as we have a lot coming up. Next weekend we are camping, the week after that we are going to Idaho Falls for a long weekend. In July we have a family reunion in Logan, Utah, then another camping trip. Littered in all of that is football union meetings and trainings. The summer is a very busy time for me and it doesn't seem to slow down anytime soon. But I truly enjoy the officiating side of my professional work, so I don't mind it.

Anyways hope you all have a great Monday.
