Well today's shave did not go as planned. And it was NOT the blade, however I did not finish the shave so only at DFS at best. I got lit up bad today! Which is unfortunate because I like the scent. Oh well my wife is going to give it a go as she liked it too. If it doesn't work for her then I will PIF it away.

Well today we are heading over to my grandparents for a family get together, looking forward to catching up with some aunts, uncles, and cousins. Should be a good time. I will get caught up on the Cadre later. Have a good day all!
 
Christmas Memories started to irritate me too. Too much cinnamon I think.
 
Bummer on the reaction—no doubt something in that soap did not agree! Luckily, I’ve yet to have anything like that happen.

Well after Dave of the Kentucky clan mentioned a new soap scent on the market that was pineapple and banana I thought hey I can do that! So I grabbed both from CBL out of my den and scooped a tiny bit out of each and pressed into my bowl. MMMMMMM so good! What a scent. I hope Chris plays around with this as I would like the pineapple scent to be stronger than the banana and in my mix at home the banana was stronger. But regardless i twas certainly nice! I finished the shave in the tropics with some Avon Island Lime. Good stuff!

Yesterday's game went well, and tonight I have a double header. Then the weekend is here. Full of wrapping and family time. Connor cries every night because I tell 4 more sleeps til Christmas. He wants it to be Christmas now! I think Christmas is going to be very fun this year with him. Sadie just wants to open the toys under the tree. Hope you all have a great weekend.

After Dave (of the KY clan) mentioned it I did mix up some ghost pineapple cilantro and banana. The pineapple is dominant with the banana being much more background than I thought possible. It is a nice scent, more than a simple novelty scent so it could work. I mixed up about 4-5 ounces so there is enough to share.

...me thinks I should be sending all these creations to the soap sample librarian.

After speaking to Chris he said it is a premixed concoction. And it includes orange peel. I am allergic to orange. So I actually think it was that. I have used cinnamon stuff in the past no problem. But it is possible.

This is the worst one I have experienced. I have experienced some tingling before. But nothing like this.

Well today I reached for an unobtainum soap. I love Bluebell soap and wish they wouldn't have decided to close shop. It is definitely a tier 1 soap for me. I had an excellent shave and walked away with a wonderful result.

So seeing as it is Christmas Eve I decided to grab the Stirling Christmas Eve soap. I never bought the aftershave but that's okay. This scent isn't really a favorite of mine but it is nice and the performance is excellent. I got a wonderful shave today. The Game Changer paired with the Shark Stainless was an excellent combo and I got a BBS. Just more proof for me that this blade deserved the 100 pack rating from me. Just don't use those Chrome Shark blades!

Homefront

Well was up late last night wrapping presents and putting together some of the toys. The elves are headed back to the north pole but they did leave behind some new slippers, pajamas, and a movie of the kids. So a lazy day today of watching movies and relaxing. Planning on having a splurge day and ordering Pizza. This morning my barber squeezed me in for a haircut as it was getting pretty long. I am happy with the results and it should last me a little while. Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Eve for those that celebrate. Enjoy your Monday Cadre!
 
Wow, I once had an uncomfortable reaction to a soap, but nothing like that.

Merry Christmas to you and your family, Chad. Children make it all worthwhile.
