Birth Year Razors

Got a little busy preparing for my vacation when this guy came in. Our newest vendor @Techichi sold me an X4 Super Speed a while back that worked fine but was in need of a facelift. Because I live in western WA, we are required to cheer for the Seattle Seahawks (good thing they are winning this year). So, I sent my X4 off to North Shore Razors to get Seahawks treatment.

Looks close enough compared to a real Seahawk?

Looks sharp!

The first vintage safety razor I ever bought was from an antique store here in town. I grabbed a Black Handle Super Speed. I got it cleaned up and noticed the date code (W2) and looked it up...it was my birthday razor. So the first razor I ever bought was my birthday razor.

Lol. It's funny how things just line up...

My birth year (June '76) razor is a black handled super speed, w4, I bought from you on eBay. I don't think I got the month right, but the years spot on. Close enough for government work, lol.

Btw, it's a very nice looker and despite my trepidation, a smooth shaver. It'll be a while until I reach a birthday to use it on, but I'm looking forward to it. [emoji16]

I'm a W-2 as well.... April `76.
