A cochlear implant is a life changing device. Not introduced too long ago, these medical devices place a hearing Aid directly into the cochlea. Latin for snail, 🐌 this is a coiled chamber deep in the skull. Very tricky to perform this is typically performed by Ear surgeons who have extensive experience with the surgery. Relatively safe surgery that bypasses the middle ear and issues of conductive hearing loss. Great outcomes with life changing results (you-tube videos of patients hearing for the first time for a nice cry today). Everyone should know about this amazing procedure!

Yeah I work with another physician who has one. He loves it. He can tune out background noise in a loud restaurant to just hear the people at the table. He has it attached via Bluetooth to his phone so he doesn’t need earphones. Can link it to his TV or computer as well. Pretty amazing technology

I have many clients that have them. Not good for the hair LOL. Hearing or good looking hair. I guess an easy choice, and i am a hair magician LOL

Adenomas in this gland (located in the sella turcica) can present as vision problems by impinging on this nerve.
