Bay Rum Comparison

Lol. Ooh. Wouldn't mind some of those recommendations.

Still, this was never meant as a 'find a Bay scent for mrdoug' thread. I need to shut up and start sampling, I think. [emoji16]

I think most people are missing the fact that this thread was posted in the Soaps forum and not the AS forum.

In fairness, It’s easy to assume when you hear bay rum that they were talking about AS.

Absolutely. Not to mention for most the soap / AS go hand in hand. I'm the oddball who forgoes the aftershave. What an oddball I am, too. [emoji16]

Definitely not been a fan of Bay Rums because of the Clove mostly and the combo of clove and cinnamon but a friend told to get some PAA Atomic Bay Rum and I have to say he did a good job and there’s no clove in it. It’s smooth and the aftershave has the same scent as the soap and about a 7/10 scent strength. So I finally found a Bay Rum I like about as much as I can like a Bay Rum. I may add a little Lime EO to the AS or maybe Pineapple to kick it up a notch.

I will agree on PAA and love Stirling the Stirling balm with it.
But to me this is my favorite:

It is a sweet bay rum but so so good.

I have only ever tried 3 bay rum soaps. I have tried Captain's Choice, Lisa's Natural, and B&M. B&M had an added lemon scent to it. Captain's Choice is many people's go to. But my personal favorite is Lisa's Natural. They have a straight bay rum in their standard line of soap.
