You sir are a brave man taking on the Shavette challenge. Personally, I avoid ALL shavette systems that use whole DE blades as if they were the spawn of the devil. Half DE blade systems are most certainly demonic as well but I might try one now and then. I actually LOVE the Weck Sextoblade, especially when paired with the smooth guard. Without the guard there is a significant amount of increased danger but an attentive and steady hand can still deliver a wonderful cut/nick free shave. I find the Sextoblade/hair shaper blades and the feather pro type of blades to be most enjoyable. In my head this is becasue the blade is more ridgid than an DE system...but who knows if that is why they feel better to me. The kamisori style is fun to use and can be a great travel option.
