CBLCUBEBAPALOOZA! Also the Finals Begin in the Personna Blade Wars

Today begins the final 5 days of the Lab Blue / GEM Diamond Glide Wars. The GEM is in the hotseat this week. Can it beat out the longtime Favorite. Based on Today's Shave, there is definitely a chance. Using all CBL Products (@CBLindsay ) this week for the fnals and today was a Stunner with Litsea Cubeba. A citus, lemony powerhouse from the soap to the WH to the Tonic. Add some CBL Barber Powder ( which goes perfectly with anything BTW), and you are in Shave Nirvana

3 passes with the Diamond Glide and DSBBS. Good amount of blade feel today, so the efficiency is off a bit already, and a small nick on the lip. GEM will have to up it's game the rest of the week to be sure.

At the Ranch:
Another busy day, dropping off the car at the body shop, getting a rental, a DR appointment and a Drinks and Daves show later tonight

Well, the GEM diamond glide really wants to win this thing it brought its a game to the shave today for day three of the finals. The Blackland Osprey, as always gives a great shave as well.

Again, using CBL soaps, and one from the archives back before there was CBL aftershave tonic, and before there was the larger containers, a favorite for sure in cherry blossom bamboo

The Matt De Ruiter carbon fiber F1 brush was also fantastic

A wonderful cherry and bamboo sent that lathers amazingly even as part of the older base.

Finished off with CBL witch hazel, Barbersol aftershave balm, Pitralon, and CBL Barber powder

A fantastic DSBBS shave

Have a good day folks

A new month, thank God! April was not the best month with the burn, the accident, and the rattlesnake. I was so glad to see the calendar flip over and also have a new watch.

Today we continue CBL soap week as well as the last two days of the finals of the GEM diamond glide and lab blue contest

As of now, it is really really close. However, the GEM has pulled slightly ahead going into the last day tomorrow of course both blades are fantastic, but who will win? We’ll find out on Saturday.

Today Drink-n- Daves was the soap of the day . A wonderful boozy head Scotchy, smoky, leathery wonder by the masterful soap maker CBL soaps

Three passes today DSBBS finished off with the CBL, which Hazel the CBL Barber powder, and then topped it off with Replica Jazz Club.

A great way to start your Friday and my Thursday

Have a great day folks

Final day of Personna Wars and CBL Soap Week

Hi, I am very proud of my brand Hombres BarberShop at Saddlebrooke Ranch. That being said, it takes quite a bit for me to put my name on any product that I plan on promoting, and selling to my clientele.

The tombstone collection, a collaboration between myself and CBL soaps is really all about passion for the shaving world and for the old west. From the humble beginnings of Hombres BarberShop at Saddlebrooke Ranch with Doc Holiday, all of these soaps, pay homage to the greatest western town in modern history. With notes of jalapeño flour, dust creosote, leather, tobacco gunsmoke it truly captures the old west.

Spaghetti western built on that with some of the original sense and then also an Italian flair to give a nod to The Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns then onto doc Holiday, with notes of gaming table, felt Sartorio silk clothing, peach, leather tobacco, and a hint of the original hombres. All masterfully crafted by Chris Lindsay and CBL soaps. Wyatt Earp will be the next in the series and we will have more details later.

As to today’s shave, it was also the final of the Blade wars tune into tomorrow’s video to find out who the winner was, and it was somewhat unexpected, three passes today with the Blackland Osprey and the GEM diamond glide blade

Finished off with Doc Holiday, aftershave, CBL, witch hazel, and of course, Barber powder

A great way to finish out my work week

Have a wonderful Saturday folks

Mystic May, and the Results of the Personna Blade wars.

Mystic Water Jasmine is fantastic, and one of the only true Jasmine Scents I have found. Explosive lather and a wonderful Face feel. The "Monday" of the Souvenir of Germany 7-day st8 set was the choice today ( as the "Sunday" has a broken Scale at the Tail), and did not want to risk breaking is more.

Anyway the shave it provided was perfect. Originally honed on Jnats, it is almost as smooth as a Coticule / Ark Progression. Finished off with the Suavecito Ivory Bergamot aftershave from Santa Barbara, CBL Barber Powder, and of course Pen's Endymion Concentre parfum Both played very well with the strong Jasmine scent of the Soap.

Watch the Video to see what blade between the Lab Blue, and the GEM Diamond Glide was the winner over the 14 shaves, and roughly 50 total passes ( including cleanup )

Have a Blessed remainder of your Sunday Folks

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Best shave of the week! The Filarmonica ( JMP 13) is the softest feeling blade on the Skin and requires no clean up pass at all with the Wonderful Noble Otter Rainroot. A Glorious Fragrance of Bergamot, Lily of the Valley, Tea Trea, Eucalyptus, Freesia, Musk and Puddles Ripple ( does not exist ), but give the feel and fragrance of a Rainstorm in a Northwest Forest. FANTASTIC

3 passes today and DSBBS+10 G The ulitmate shave! Finished off with CBL Powder Rainroot Aftershave and Ferrari Radiant Bergamot for the Frag. Sorrentino on Lather duty. One for the books

At the Ranch: We know know the apocalypse is upon us. First @NurseDave is going to a baseball game. Second it is May in AZ and we had rain all night ( much needed BTW ) and low temps in the 40's ( when it should be 60's ), then today highs only in the low 60's ( supposed to be 90's ) Misty Rainy and cool, very nice, but what is going to happen this summer. Early indications are a Super El Nino, which means much more rain, cooler temps (relatively speaking) and flooding. in 1983 and 1993 it was bad with one storm that sat on us for over 10 inches in one day. So we will se LOL.

Have a great day

A spa day shave. Today with Noble otters’s Hamam. A beautiful vapors sent that reminds one of both the British and Turkish baths

The essence was on duty today with a feather pro guard blade. Lathered up with the Tsc anniversary brush and finished off with two aftershaves today.
CBL soaps Hammam spa, a nod to Penhaligon‘s Savoy steam , and finishing off with CBL, Barber powder and Noble otter’s Hamam aftershave splash

A great beginning to a Friday

Have a great day folks
