Barber Errand Day Shave!

10.20.2025.jpeg
All retro and unobtanium today with a Classy minty finish!

Palmolive shave stick provided the base, followed by the Teton Brush on Construction, and the Gillette President on removal and clean-up. Followed up by a drug store fave, some alum. Quinns Cucumber Mint, talc, and the upscale finish of Floris 1962

A good way to start my "Saturday #2".

At the Ranch:
Good weather continues, so errands, and maybe some 4x4 trail wheeling later this afternoon

Have a Good Monday Folks

First look, at a few soaps from adopted acres soap company I’ll be reviewing these in full on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday of next week on my YouTube channel so this week will be just testing all three

Those view to go to the Ohio wet shavers meet up are already very familiar with adopted acres

I will say as most of you know I’m very picky about barbershop since most of the time they are way too powdery because the barbershop doesn’t smell like powder. This one is totally different with shades of rive gauche, barbacide, shaving cream, and more

This may end up being my favorite barbershop sent. The story behind this company is also fantastic and the things they do for the community so stay tuned.

A good shave today with the vector and all the other components seen in the picture above

Have a great day folks

Another first look from adopted acres shaving soap company. I have never been a huge pumpkin fan however, this one has changed my mind more information on my complete review, but let’s just say it opens as pure pumpkin, then the baking spices that go along into a pumpkin pie, including the crust all with the sandalwood sitting in the background by the third pass, the sandalwood is really really forefront, but with pumpkin in the background, absolutely fantastic

So far, the one big difference that I’ve noticed is the post shave face feel hours and hours after the shave. It’s something very unique of which I’ll go into with my review as well.

The aftershave is pure pumpkin pie with a little bit of a hint of sandalwood, but it gave me an excuse to bring out, probably my most cherished fragrance in the Crabtree and Evelyn extract of Mysore Sandalwood. This was purchased for me by my wife in the late 80s and early 90s for $34.50 if you can find it now nowadays it’s going for north of 500. I have just a few drops left so it comes out only on special occasion

A great shave

Have a good day

Happy Friday folks,
Another first look and offering from adopted acres soap company. Make sure you tune in to Barber, Dave’s shaves and such for the full reviews starting on Sunday of the last three soaps.

This is a straight up hike or four-wheel-drive journey through the forest. Old growth, pine, fern, crisp Mountain air scotch pine Douglas fir, just fantastic. This is a new base and a new soap that just came out from adopted acres and it’s very very nice. There is quite a difference between the base in this soap and the base in the barbershop soap which will discuss as well.

This matches perfect perfectly with @AvocadoQueen ‘s favorite fragrance in the Mary Kay for men tribute

A nice shave

Have a good day folks

Another first look at a brand new offering by Noble Otter. There is not a bad set up for Noble otter in their entire catalogue. However, this one may be their swan song. It is absolutely fantastic.

All the fragrances play together to evoke what I would call first rain. If anybody here has ever been to Stanley Park in Vancouver Canada, after or during a rain storm this nailed it wet, florals, wet granite, wet, dirt, wet trees, absolutely fantastic.

We’ll be doing a full review down the road

The vector did a great job with a brand new Kai MG pro guard blade the cucumber mint witch hazel from Quinn‘s matched perfectly

Just a great way to finish up my week in the shop

Have a happy Saturday folks

Another Great offering from Adopted Acres and perfect for Halloween. The queen was very tolerable these three days and did not try to kill me, so the mistress us happy. Pumpkin, Baking Spices and more is making re think the whole pumpkin thing, we may even have a pie for the holidays, but NEVER a Pumpkin Spiced Latte. Pumpkin and Coffee dont belong togehter

Anyway a fantastic shave

Another fantastic shave soap by Noble otter. This one translates to Jasmine and green tea, but it is better known as the wanderer.
With grapefruit, orange flour, jasmine sambac, and mountain fog

I don’t get much of the grapefruit or the other fragrances other than jasmine and the green tea but it’s absolutely wonderfully floral

Finished off with the cucumber mint, which hazel which again matched perfectly and then finally for EDP weed shows Penhaligon’s and Endymion concentre, along with some talc

A perfect shave to begin your Wednesday and my Monday. Even Mondays in the shop though are fantastic actually every day in the shop is a good day.

Have a great day folks

Not a very good night of sleep last night for unknown reasons so I actually inadvertently overslept, I had enough time to wash my face comb my hair and get into the shop

I was planning to have to go through a day as a hobo, but then DUH, I own a barbershop. I do shaves every day, so I have plenty of stuff to do a shave. So I had a break between clients and decided to get rid of the scruff using the holy black shaving cream and the holy black after shaved tonic, which I haven’t used in years because I keep it in the shop.

Pretty decent two pass shave and at least I feel much better

Have a good day folks
