BarberDave's Shaveapalooza

its great to see you on the screen again Dave! I admire you for losing so much weight. Your face and neck have indeed gained more nooks and crannies to maneuver a straight through. I noted that a few weeks ago. The longer blade of a straight adds some challenge.
indeed Rich new places to map ahahaha

Good video, Dave. A rose soap once lit me up, too. Caught me offguard, as I've enjoyed many rose soaps without incident. You look good. Keep up the good work. No doubt you feel better with less weight. Enjoy your rides!

Thanks Sam, Hows the Clippers. OK, OK I agree the Czech Pitralon does smell like bubblegum, If...... it was rolled in a dirty ashtray, LOL
Clippers are great, Dave. (y) Much better motor than than the others I have had.

My wife still struggles with trying to blend for a high'n'tight, taking up to 30 mins, so they can get hot (as expected when running for that long). I've reverted to either guardless all over or doing 90% of the cut myself and just getting her to do the final blend (one blend line).

I just watched your video SRS100 and I wanted to let you know that I found it to be a wonderful introduction. I must admit that I'm very intimidated by the very idea of handling a straight razor, but if I can ever work up the guts to try it, I now know where to go for first-rate instruction. Bravo!

Could it be???? Is it True?? A real bobby-dazzler? Yes indeed an actual written journal entry from TSC's resident Poltergeist. My sincerest apologies for not catching up on everyone's journals and at this rate it may be easier to measure time in Galactic standards but will make an attempt to at least skim and comment to get reacquainted.

As for today one of my favorite overall set-ups, and the Boker is just a pleasure to shave with. It has a new edge from bevel to finish, just because and it was worth the honing. This time I finished it on the Black Ark, rather than the translucent and am pretty impressed as easily HHT-5.

All passes went well, how could they not using Mystic Waters, and especially my favorite scent of hers... JASMINE!.

The Razor slid around the race track with ease and just a tad of cleanup for DSBBS. Finished up with the Pitralon and Tribute, a tad bit of talc and another great shave

Another SR shave today, and pretty much as planned except for a few touchdowns so no DSBBS today will have to settle to BBS. Also on my journal video I address some of The TSC brush concerns and possible remedies to make the brush more enjoyable

Just browsing through some of your posts and wow you have some good looking razors! This will not help my RAD, but I guess there are worse things I could spend my money on (at least that is the excuse I use when my wife asks). Nice post Dave!

Another nice shave today with a razor that has not been out of the stable in awhile Comments on that and other DE/SE grails and unobtaniums in my shave video for today. I forgot how nice the Weber shaves, and it was a very nice, easy 3-passes today for DSBBS. Finished up with the AS/Cologne / Shave Talc and EPD for an Orangepalooza
