Excellent green shave! I've always loved the look of that BRW, and really need to get one someday.

Gillette FatBoy G-1
Astra SP (1)
Paladin Neptune Cleo / Select Badger
Cherry City Mustache Williamette Woods Shave Soap
Brut Splash On Lotion
Brut Special Reserve Cologne

Nice shave with a new soap today. Williamette Woods by CCM. A very nice soap and a earthy, piney, cool scent. I do not think there is any menthol in it, however it feels cool on the face. On the SOS scale it is about a 2, but lingers nicely. As this was a sample I bowl lathered and it created a very nice, albeit a bit thin ( my fault as I over-hydrated in the bowl ) but nice and slick. It provided a nice 3-pass shave with the FatBoy, of which I had not used in quite awhile. As some know this razor belonged to my Father-in-Law who passed in 1982. It is a G-1 so I think about 1962-63 build date, and he received that yr. Electric razors were coming into there own, and apparently he used the razor once, and went to electrics. It was found in a box and Sharon gave it to me on my birthday some years ago.

So, it always provides a special shave. BBS today, but I find even at setting 7 it can be very mild, and by the evening I have a bit of stubble. To used to straight razors I guess. Finished up with Brut and all was good.
