03.28.2019 - DE Shave ( very late entry)

Weber PH Classic
Astra SP (1)
Semogue 620 / two band boar
CBL Ghost Lime Shave Soap
L'Occitane Cedrat Aftershave Balm
Penhaligon's Savoy Steam Eau de Cologne

Whew! Very long day! Well round one of the AZ State Board Exams is in the books. I think I did well, but knowing Mr. Murphy, I will remain cautiously optimistic. So after the most boring 2.5 hour ride and all the lovely traffic Phoenix has to offer, I spend a whopping 30 minutes on the test. To avoid the gridlock traffic I had dinner with some friends and decided to take the back way home through the stark desert through the Superstition Mountains, through Apache Junction ( John Wayne's old Home ) Florence and on into Tucson. Actually it was a nice ride, dark, no one on the road. just me and an Audiobook and the Coyotes. It was actually a nice relaxing ride home in the moonlight. So this is what is funny.

2 .5 hours and 110 miles up
2.5 Hours and 110 mile back
30-minutes on the test
Getting my license ( I Hope)....priceless LOL

So I get to repeat this trip again on Monday for the Practical Exam then wait a week to find out. Gotta love state budget cuts, abandoning testing locations here in Tucson.

Anyway to the shave:

It was a real buffet today, no rhyme or reason as my mind was completely somewhere else. So no straight today. I opted for the Weber and a new Astra, the tried and True Ghost lime as it was going to be in the 90's in Phoenix, and then grabbed the Cedrat to add some more citrus and ther Savoy Steam as it is very refreshing and can be slapped on very quickly and liberally. I will call this two pass shave BBS as I really was not into it, LOL

Have a Nice Night, Morning, wherever you may be

Dave, your pictures just knock me out; put my generic ones to shame. Sounds like a great ride back. Best of luck on your test results - I suspect any worries will be unfounded.

Tell me about that Savoy Steam, Dave. And isn't the L'Occitane ASB fantastic? I'm finishing a tube of Cade ASB, and it's been a winter-long treat.

Great stuff as always, Dave. I have a tub of Ghost Lime and the weather here is just now warm enough to get the most out of it.

Nice buffet and grounded well with the Ghost Lime
Gotta love those long drive for a short reason trips. I'm sure you did just fine.

I'm sure you killed it Dave! All that driving does sound like a drag though lol
That’s one out of the way; you go Dave!
Thanks Gents, glad to have one down, one to go, LOL

Thanks Bob and Yes I love the L'Occitane products and Cedrat is an extremely nice frag and the ASB is not heavy at all. As to the Savoy Steam hmmmm well it does have hints of Blenheim Bouquet, and Bayolea, Hammam, but softer if that make sense. My best description is a freshly laundered heavy cotton towel, Lavender infused with Steam, Ozone, and the smell of an old time Eucalyptus/alcohol rubdowns by your corner man or masseuse that looks like Mr. Clean has a huge handle bar mustache and a thick German Accent, LOL.. It is a huge bottle at 200ml and has a cavernous bottle opening. I love the stuff

Thanks Eric

Well after a late night and a release of all the pent-up nervousness from the day I actually slept in late 0800 and had a nice shave today more in-step with a system... Yes I am OCD. As @Spider has mentioned in his Vlog, this soap is going bye-bye. Sad but true as I do think it is the best one in the Captain's Chest. I stocked up and suggest you do as well.

It was a nice 3-pass shave today with the Dragon for DSBBS finished off with all the normal Accoutrements, For those that have not tried CC North you can see my thoughts here in video
