I wish that SV liked the water at my house. The best performance I can get from it at home is Tier 1 status. But I've taken it on the road many times, and with different water, I can get elite status.
Such as???

Asylum, Rumor has it possible PCN, these are guesses on my part but I do know they off complete soap making and marketing services for their clientele

Sorry for the missus's migraine misfortune. I too suffer from those from time to time. Havent had one lately though i think the Doc's found a nice mix of meds to combat the causal factors.

Asylum soap and AS is made in Chandler, Arizona for BullGoose, which is where WSP is located. My understanding is that it is the Formula T soap base.

Not the Flying Mango one. The rest you are correct
I missed that one. Good catch.

Beehive Sandalwood Shave Soap

Crabtree & Evelyn Extract of Mysore Sandalwood

Another cool morning and shave. I had purchased this tub of Beehive Sandalwood during the summer and was waiting for some cooler weather to try it out. Although I was a bit disappointed in the SOS, which I would give a 2/5 at best, the performance of the soap was typical of this artisan. Just Fantastic! I was surprised considering that the Crisp Alpine Stream was a 5/5. I am a bit picky about my Sandalwood so that may have been part of it. Other than that the soap is a true winner.

3-passes today with the little 4/8 Mk-30, a tribute to the Swedish Airforce on it's fuselage and to the good friend that provided me with this razor, as well as quite a number of Heljestrands in my collection. Thanks Arne!

Since I really don't have a good Sandalwood aftershave, I usually take the Paldin balm and infuse a few drops of the Mysore. Good as gold. My bottle of this unobtanium is waning, and once gone, it is gone, sad that a $30 bottle of CE is now going for over $400.00, and that is if you can find it. By far IMHO the best Sandalwood that ever went out on the market, and a shadow of the greatness that Crabtree and Evelyn used to be, before they went online only and dove straight into the toilet from a product quality perspective. That is for another discussion however.... Maybe even a topic for the radio show on how wonderful European and American Artisans sold to large corporate interests and watch their quality suffer in lieu of bottom lines.

Set-up:

Hope everyone had a wonderful day

I agree, Beehive Soaps are just great! They have a new scent coming out... Woods or Wild Woods or something like that. I can’t wait!

Great shave and nice insight into how great products go down hill. I think it would be a very interesting topic for an upcoming TSC Radio show!

A couple of very nice shaves, Dave. I've been checking out oud's again lately. Interestingly enough, I found a sample of Polo Supreme Oud while going through my frag sample drawer. I can't for the life of me remember how it got there, but man does it smell good! Too bad I've exceeded my frag budget for the year in the last couple of days, or I'd seriously consider ordering a bottle for the winter lol.

I hope MRS Xeno is feeling better by now. My wife has regular migraines and has some pills used to break them. I forget what she is using now but I know she has had others that didn't work. You mentioned she was exploring some ear thing, did she abandon that idea or has she just not gone there?

I have found a source for Mysore oil/atar, it is far too expensive to use for bulk production but it might just be worth making a few pucks (harder version of CBL) and I am sure you can turn the oil into a wonderful EtP. My source uses Mysore as a carrier for some other atar mixes because they say it improves the overall scent. Sadly, they were out of the pure oil/atar when I ordered last.
