Vacation: Definition: A time to relax, sleep in late, do nothing, and "laz" around....
Vacation: BarberDave's Definition: Eyes open at 0430, let dog out, let dog in, coffee, coffee, and more coffee, and then a quad shot espresso. Get up to let the hard caper contractor in the gate, find out contractor wont be here until 0900... Ahh the Manana attitude here in AZ. Wander around a dark quiet house, while the animals look at you like "Hey stupid.. You're on Vacation, Go back to bed and let us sleep". Hmm Good idea...... Let dog out again, let dog in again.... Now he wants to play. It is amazing how a dog can take up the entire bed, and then growl when you want to get in it "MY BED Hooman!, and I will Bite you".... ingrate! Anyway... OK Shave Shower and get the blood going with this.... Although I should have thought this through before cranking it up to a "Ted Nugent" Decibel level, and watching cats run, and a very evil look from the boss... At least Kona Enjoyed it. I could swear I saw him headbanging. He is a Good pooch

Ahh, that's better.... Oh ya the shave....

Looking at the above photo, how can it not be a stellar shave on a 30 degree something morning. Where else but AZ, can we go from 100 degree temps to the Arctic, in 4-days. Ummm, "Hey Mother Nature, a little fall here huh?"
the Tundra Artica is perfect for a shave on a cold, dark, pre-sunrise shave. As @NurseDave mentions in his journal today, the sunrises here in AZ are epic. Especially over the Mountains, Greens, Corals, Fire lava Reds, with the backdrop of the Sonoran Desert. Truly Amazing.

Anyway a good 3-pass shave, DSBBS and with the ouds in the shave set, it warms you up nicely, and the Noble Finishes it off perfectly. Looking forward to our live show tonight and a day of pretty much nothing but a cigar or two, and prretending to be @CVargo watching laborers do thier thing.

I have my lawn company coming in soon to clear out a bunch of dead weeds etc. But i'll be on my way up the mountain. Lot of referees blocked for the holiday so I am going to work a double header today. Both the boys and girls varsity basketball game. I see caffeine and vitamin I in my future.

Hey, a couple of electrodes, and with all that acid you should be able to charge your own phone.
Indeed Tucson Electric Power Called and wanted to tap in.... "A probe?" Why not it is all about the experience, ROFL

I was also concerned about the amount of caffeine you were consuming......but I don't drink caffeine....so I'll hold my comment. Please enjoy your super-charged vacation.

Well the Eve before Glucose Spike day! up early as the driveway and Pavers are almost complete. Then to add the driveway lighting ( ie Runway lights per permission from El Jeffe ) and we will be ready for decorating for the holidays. Todays shave was all about Cactus. The Opuntia is such a great scent and Galileo was happy skating around for a 3-pass DSBBS shave. All other supporting cast was spot on for a somewhat lazy day of getting ready with 3-dozen Deviled Eggs. 1/3 smoked. 1/3 with Capers, 1/3 traditional...... Although, that many may not make it over to our freinds house... Testing, it will be testing

If you are traveling have a safe trip

Time yet again to bring our the Holiday scents. This one is perfect. No only pine, but all the scents you would expect from a cabin high in the forest with a fire burning , snow and good stuff. Or if the movie Polar Express had a scent, this would be it... Or even Santa Clause's House.

The Osprey was in a Holiday mood as well as it skied around the face finishing with a nice DSBBS discount. All the other Elves accompanied very well, and even used the Aftershave again for a fragrance. Good Stuff.

it is Black Friday, and if you are out shopping, I will say a prayer.... Have Great Day!

Early Shave...Late Entry..
Was rainy and cold this morning while I waited for the contractor to finish up our pavers and gravel work here at the ranch. This guy is the best! Rain or shine he worked all morning. I was glad he got doe by mid- morning so I could move and place 2-tons of River Rock to line the driveway. Thankfully, or stupidly, I shave at the pre-dawn light, not realizing that these old bones and muscle are not quite in the strength arena they used to be.

The shave went perfectly with 3-passes and DSBBBS and the use of two aftershave complimented each other

I do most of the work around the ranch and have always found the resources to feel ok when moving stuff around. However, as @NurseDave pointed out on another area I am in desperate need of a Yard Tractor. Loading 6-12 River Rock, with some 100LB boulders mixed in made be realize, that after the blood clot a few years back that the strength in my legs is flat gone, when it comes to placing stones, bending down, and then regretting, and figuring a way to stand back up.

Was supremely upset at myself for only getting halfway done ( 125 linear feet ) plus some paver work to hold in the gravel at the front of the gate. I was literally spent, and toward the end, I have to be quite resourceful on how I was planning to stand back up, and try to walk. When I finally did, I felt as if the legs were wet noodles.... Thanks J&J!.

Anyway getting back to the house was akin to climbing Everest. It probably did not help I was wearing some work boots, that had the arch support of a flat brick. The problem happened when I sat down and my legs said
"Screw you" I am done. Thankfully a VERY Hot shower, a beer, and a cigar assisted, but did not alleviate the pain... Just to think I only have about 250 linear feet to go.... YAY ME!Not to mention Tree shopping and Holes for said trees. Thankfully @AvocadoQueen is not shy in getting her hands dirty as well... All the pain is worth it seeing her smile, as the Micro-Climate comes together, and her able to sift though 2-Tons of the river rock to find the perfect stone to do her art on.

So a muscle relaxer was, and is in order.

Sadly it is humbling to realize at 59 yrs of age, that you cannot do some of the things you used to ( Clot notwithstanding ) and considering what I did in the service, not to mention that I am on my feet for 14-16 hours a day, you become self aware of your limitation whens it comes to certain tasks that require certain strengths that you may never get back.

Anyway, blathering over have a Great day and...
