Let’s start another thread for everyone to contribute to. This time, it’s what you see while you’re out an about, hunting at antique stores, etc. You can post your acquisitions here too, but it’s more about what you saw, and didn’t buy. Let’s see what is out in the wild!

Today’s stop was to the Antique Mall of America in Las Vegas. A pretty big store and one I go to on almost every Vegas trip. Not much shaving stuff aside from the obligatory Avon bottles, which I didn’t take pics of, but I did see this nice display of shave mugs and a few other things.

I did buy one thing from this case, but you’ll have to tune into tomorrow’s video to see what it is.

I was looking at a few of those Allegro sharpening systems (hone/strop whatever it is) on eBay over that few weeks and almost pulled the trigger on one but decided I would go all in on something else. If I were to find one in the wild at a fair price I might not be so restrained unless it turned out to be less interesting than I imagined. I have a couple of the Kriss Kross stropped, kind of cool set up. I’ll have to tune in to see what you got. I like this idea, I’ve wanted to start something like this and maybe share a few “i wish I could find” posts, who knows we might end up connecting some old stuff with new owners.

The Allegro was on the expensive side, and it didn’t look complete.

what do you think of the Kriss Kross i saw one not long ago and was curious about them...
