Happy Sunday, Cadre. My wife, our sons, and I are going out for a slightly delayed birthday celebration. This past Friday, I completed another orbit around the sun, making me a “C-1” in Gillette razor parlance, or 69 years young.
Happy 69th birthday, Bruce. I hope you enjoyed your day.

This was a bad shave. The Gillette blade seems hopelessly dull. I’ll give it one or two more tries before passing judgement. Tomorrow’s shave will be one day’s growth, as opposed to today’s, which was two day’s. On the plus side, I’m clean, lean, and mean now that I’ve got no whiskers. 😊

These Gillette blades suck. I pitched them after shaving. It would be unethical to PIF these awful, dull blades.

I don’t know where they’re from, and I don’t care. I’m never using them again.

I've done the same thing.

Getting caught up - been a busy week.

Note to self: never (again) buff with a Kai blade. Never.

Busy day getting ready to leave for Chapel Hill NC, where my sister is in the MICU, on a ventilator, and lightly sedated. I’m spending a week. I’m going to see her, and hopefully communicate with her as well. Preferably verbally.

I'm so sorry to hear this news. I hope you will be able to communicate with her verbally too. As a former transplant coordinator, you are all too familiar with this scenario. As a double lung transplant recipient, so am I. I am sending positive thoughts and prayers for your sister. I hope she is able to have a full recovery. 🙏🙏

Last night’s shave. The three shaves prior to this escape detailed memories, but I’m confident of their components.
