I shaved hours ago, then frittered away my time before leaving for my Friday night meetings. Happily, I got my car out of the shop with minimal $$ damage. The engine warning light came on about three weeks ago, and I couldn’t get it into the shop for a couple of weeks. I drove it for short distances as the light was steady, not flashing. I made an appointment for next week at my usual shop, but wanted to get it done sooner, so I took it to another nearby show early last week to see if I could get it in earlier, and made an appointment for today. While getting the appointment, the owner checked the warning light, finding it was either the thermostat or the water pump, so it stayed in my garage till today. I’ve been borrowing my wife’s Wrangler, which I hate driving. Darned thing rides like a 1970s pickup, and is a total gas hog. Thankfully, it was the thermostat, so I have it back now. A comfortable ride once again. 😃

A late shave for an early commitment tomorrow. Good meeting with my cardiologist today. Incidentally, when you use the phrase “my cardiologist”, you’re probably old, or unlucky. FTR, I feel pretty lucky. 😉🫀
 
I was thinking of shaving today, but then I thought, “WITNOFFF?” So I didn’t.

I wasn’t able to post this last night when I first saw it. While getting the link just now, the clip was running. I paused and watched the intro again. Heartwarming, and a little bit sad too, because we just don’t have the appreciation for giants such as these gentlemen any longer. It’s 24 minutes, and worth every second. 👍😃

After showering today, I thought about shaving. Then I realized, “It’s Labor Day, for crying out loud! It’s my day off!” So I didn’t. While you’re all enjoying your day off (or time-and-a-half if you’re working), remember to thank a union. 😎👍
