Yup, that’s the stuff. It is amazing how much blackened tarnish comes off of razors that really don’t even look that bad.

My friend had a red early '70s Pinto. Said Ford on the hood. Another friend pried off the F and the D, and reversed them to read DORF. He drove it that way for over a day before he caught it. He was ticked, but we all thought it was pretty funny. That thing had the power of a lawn mower.

Hello friends,
I've been away from the forum for about 3 weeks. Too long a saga to go into, but suffice to say a Molotov cocktail of work and home ended up with me taking an unintended break. All is ok, and I hope to get back to the shaving talk (and jokes) with some sort of regularity.
As far as the 'Journey' part, I've been shaving regularly the last 3 weeks. Thought I'd get a little more time off work than I got, but it did result in me shaving almost everyday.
From several days with the Single Ring from @woodpusher
to a Karve with a D plate
to a Barbasol Floating Head
to the last 4 days having a run with the Goodwill ending with today's shave

Maol Frosted Frankinlime AS
Two of the oldest razors in my den (along with a Ball End Old type). The Aristocrat case for the Single Ring and the Bostonian that basically replaced it. IMHO, neither is as smooth as any of the NEWS that replaced them in the 30s, but still excellent razors. Looking pretty good for 100 years old, too. I need to start reading through the excellent journals that you all have done. Soon grasshopper, soon.
