It's not, but it's not great either. Food is average. But you don't go there for the quality of the food. It's an experience, and we had a great time there.
Its old school. They cook the burgers and the fries in lard so they have that greasy spoon taste from back in the day. But my favorite item on the menu (I didn't order it but I did laugh) was the Vegetarian Special. Its a pack of cigarettes and a beer.
Yep...the waitresses are dressed as naughty nurses. It's like Hooters with hospital gowns.
I could live on bbq.
There's a place, south of downtown, that I tried to meet @Spider at when he recently came to town (but they were closed that day
), they have BBQ and beer and a great outdoor seating area. Would anyone want to meet up there one evening? I know Saturday is currently booked but for anyone arriving early, Thursday is a good night....not too crowded....kinda chill,,,kinda informal? (also @BarberDave if this interferes with anything you have planned, I rescind the invite)

Im a fan of White Castle sliders and their new/old '1921 Burger. It is an actual tiny burger with lettuce and tomatoes and stuff. They were test marketing it in our area. I am quite fond of them as they are more like a real burger and not a slider
They are literally 300ft from each other. We can do both!
They let me in.....seems like they might not have a list of Persona Non Gratas on file. If they do...you can wear your hospital gown backwards and they'll let you in based on a different facial recognition metric.
Around the corner from the BBQ place I'm planning on a meet-up on the friday of the con is a barbershop:

I haven't been there but the minor league hockey team here in town did a promo from there when the team decided to grow mustaches to support their coach when he was diagnosed with cancer.
Maybe @BarberDave knows these guys and can get us discounts.....(just kidding)

Made a stop at Binion's casino downtown (a mere 8 minutes from my work) to visit Whiskey Licker Up.

They said that a few of the ones on the list may not be available based on supply issues but they also have some stuff that's not on the list.....which made me wonder why they don't make a new list.
