So we as owner's have had some people reaching out about the Hotel and I just want to post what is impacting the prices. So first I am going to add in a quote what @BarberDave originally posted.
So for those that have actually booked already. I guess my question would be did you call the phone number? The prices above were negotiated to get the deluxe rooms. NOT the rooms that they hold for discount sites. These are the more recently renovated and updated rooms. Call the number! Talk with them if you don't need early check in or early check out these are items that hotels will work with you on. Also by calling the number you are guaranteeing that you are in our hotel block of rooms not on the other side of the property. Maybe not a big deal right?
We negotiated to also get the coupon book included with your reservation. So are you planning on eating? Drinking at a bar? Gambling? Perhaps need to go to the gift shop to buy tylenol because you can' hang? Coming in a day early and want to go to a show? The value of this book is $300 you will NOT get this book if you make your reservation on a different website.
We can't stop people from saving a $ and we won't prevent you from booking on a different site... we really can't. But we do ask that you consider what you are getting by booking through the phone number and code mentioned above.
Also because Dave, Chris, and I have elected to operate TSC the way that we have we are at risk of being charged as organizers a larger surcharge if we do not fill a certain portion of our block of rooms reserved. Sadly if this happens it will increase the cost of the registration packet. I don't want to discuss financials in the open thread but those that have been here awhile understand what we have been trying to do up to this point of the Cadre. All I'll say is that at this point the Cadre essentially breaks even every year. We are able to operate this site from Zazzle fees, member donations, Hobbyist, and Artisan fees. As of now we are not expecting to have to pass any additional fees onto the attendees, beyond the cost of what is going into the registration packet. We love what the cadre is and how it has grown. We have a lot planned in 2022 and moving forward. Being at this event will be where you the members that attend will get a sneak peak! The Cadre is evolving and this event is the launch board.

Oh guys... we approved the design of the event shirt that all attendees will be getting! It looks AWESOME!!! Also have secured some of the other items that go into the registration packet! It's all coming together nicely! Expect to officially register for the event late Wednesday or early Thursday!
