While Taylor Sheridan looks like he likely could be a real horse's patoot in person, he puts on a heck of a show. We took a chance on Yellowstone based on the continued hype and it was a winner for us. Then finished up the 2 seasons of Lioness, the first season being much better than the second. Now we're a couple of episodes into Landman. Really liking this one too as long as Taylor doesn't decide to shoehorn his way into the show again.

Well, that was that. Nice relaxing weekend is over and I'm back to listening about Gear running too far and Sam working on pulling in back in the cold of winter. Got some errands done this weekend that included restocking a few bottles of sake and sorting through a few drawers in a slow downsizing to move. Had a lovely zoom call Sunday and ended the extended weekend with sous vide steaks for dinner with mashed potatoes. My little sous vide machine is giving me fits and not staying connected to the network which is the only way to control it. I think I might look for one where the temp can just be set on the machine itself. I don't need the timer and all that anyway.

It’s amazing that we could even cook before the internet! I, for one, welcome our thoroughly modern manner of meal preparation. I do NOT miss heating up tomato soup over those darned charcoal briquettes on the patio in February! 🥶

I think I'll be getting one to borrow in the near future, so I'm trying to hold off on buying anything until I can try that. But, I always like to have a vacation on the calendar to look forward to and I like to know that something is in the mail to wait for ;)
I usually send my straights out to be honed when needed. Lousy at honing, but I was wondering if @BarberDave would be willing to send you a straight for a trial run since he is a generous friend of yours. Maybe ask if you can borrow 1 that way you know it will be shave ready
