Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

You guys can't bring me down! I am ready! GO UTES!!!!
After doing some number crunching and consulting of the stars (hard to do because it has been raining) I have determined that your Utes will be letting you down. Maybe you should have used a different brush.

WHOA!!! That is harsh! I am a nervous wreck at this point. Dying over here! This is going to be a low scoring close game. I have a feeling I am going to lose about 5+ years off my life expectancy this evening!

Utes win I am changing the color of the site to RED For the weekend! FYI!

Chad, you should never have used that SOTD photo for today! Don't you know that's an automatic jinx?

Was really exhausted after the week I had and completely forgot Utah was playing. I just saw the score and sorry to see your team go down. I know Washington has had some disappointing games this year...but Chris Peterson has that team coached VERY well. I thought he was one of the top coaches in the country when he was at Boise State. Anyway...I have liked Utah (even if it is the birthing ground for the excuse for a man Urban Meyer...Side tangent...I have thought this for a very long time now...but does anyone else think that Urban Meyer looks like Bashar Al-Assad? Brothers separated at birth?)

But I digest (mmm...eggs and bacon!)

What was I saying? Yeah...I have liked Utah for a while now...like their style of play and they are always in a game. I think this year was a building block for them and hopefully next year they are able to compete for the PAC-12 (or whatever the conference calls itself these days). I am hoping for a Washington State and Utah matchup next year! I am a huge Mike Leach fan!

Well guys I'm here and alive. What a defensive battle. Washington won on a fluke play that gave them a TD. I won't blame it on the refs, even though I felt like officiating was horrible all season from the pac12. If you haven't read the 4 part series in the Oregonian you should go read it. It will highlight just how *expletive* up the pac12 is.

I am proud of the Utes. Going into that game they where down the starting QB, RB, backup RB, star WR, then at the beginning of the second half lost their second best WR. And this team was still in it. Like Don said above this was a learning year. This team has 11 scholarship seniors. Next year is going to hopefully be a great year. One more game the bowl! Go win!

GO UTES!!!

The stars never lie. Don’t feel bad Chad, the stars tell me I won’t win a dime in Vegas.

At at least we don’t have to worry about the site going red.

Tough break Chad...would’ve been cool to see the site go red. Although I have to admit, I did need Washington to win for the pick ‘em PIF.

So it is your fault?

No shave today. Had the double header this early afternoon of JV and Varsity game. Now just relaxing a bit watching football before heading over to a friend's for dinner later this evening.

Well finally getting around to posting my shave. I used the Madagascar Spice soap today and I have to be honest not really a fan. I only scooped a bit out of it today, so I think I am going to slip it into my Rudolph package. Hope he/she likes it. Just not a fan sadly. The first official shave with the Paladin it was a lather hog! I hope it tones down a bit, aside from that I really like the Paladin. But I don't see myself turning into a Kentucky Dave type with these brushes. Maybe one more if the right combo comes around.

Well winter is here. I have been out twice already clearing snow. We are at a foot of snow right now, and it is still falling, sadly. Supposed to stop about 9AM tomorrow, so the commute tomorrow could be a fun one. Had a great service at church though, now that Advent season is officially here.

Have a great sunday cadre

I suppose a brisk winter run to work is out of the question tomorrow then. ?

Hope things don’t go all Shining at your house!

Nice shave Chad. Hope that snow stops soon! We had our first (and only so far) storm a few weeks back. Nothing compared to what you’re getting now though.

I bet your exchange partner would like that Paladin also!

I bet they would too, sadly they won't be getting this brush

I despise winter! I would have transferred to the phoenix office if my wife would let me.

Nice shave Chad and I won't be a Chad when it comes to 300+ soaps

I checked out the excel sheet yesterday getting some updates. I have 287 (full size) soaps in the den currently. And total used is 375 a good portion of those have been pifed or sold. I got to be honest I am starting to get a tad bit overwhelmed. But I can't stop.

It started Saturday around 11PM and stopped Monday around 3AM. It literally snowed non-stop, it would go light at times but it was a constant snow. The lake effect at the end was a real bugger!

What about the Madagascar Spice scent did you not like ?

I am not a fan of clove. Chris included this one in my last order for free. So I am going to send it on as well. A lot of people are going to love this scent though.

Well today I used a soap that I have been dying to get ever since I tried a sample. I love this scent! And the performance is pretty darn good also! I think it is safe to call this soap a Tier 1 Box 3 soap, on my scale:

I wanted to use the Paladin again as I am trying to get fully broken int. And it yielded a much better lather today and didn't hog it as much as yesterday. I think I might stick with this brush for the week, we shall see. Since I was getting ready to go out in the bitter cold to remove snow I opted for a nice balm and then used an edT for scent. Good stuff!

Well like previously mentioned the snow was out of control yesterday. The total this morning after grabbing my yardstick and going to a place to measure that didn't have extra snow thrown on top of it, said 14 inches! I ended up running the snow blower 4 times during that storm. Once before church, once after, once before bed, and then once this morning. Of course the plow went by in the middle of the night which meant having to dig out the driveway too. Be prepared to hear about how much I hate winter in this journal for awhile.

Today I have a union meeting, then a double header tomorrow, and another double header Friday. Should be a pretty good week of sports though. No storm in the forecast right now until next week.

Have a good day Cadre.
