Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Razor: Karve Razor Plate D
Blade: Astra SP (2)
Soap/cream: PdP No. 63
Brush: Envy Shave Ute Brush
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: PdP No. 63

Well today was shave with Plate D and this plate was substantially better that Plate C. Just a tad bit more aggressive like I would expect but it was more comfortable also. I really enjoyed it. I also had a great shave with the PdP N. 63 this is a fantastic scent and performance is very good. I really should use it more than I do, but that's the problem when you have so many soaps in your den, a good problem to have though.

Homefront:

Well I am off work today to assist with getting people from the airport, and I will also be playing single dad because Megan couldn't take the day off. Her two team teachers one is sick, and the other her dad passed away this week. So we have two funerals to attend this week. I am playing single dad too, so gotta get Connor ready for school, with it being friday it's a short day which is throwing me off, I have a feeling I will be late picking him up. I hope that is not the case though. Aside from that I am looking forward to tonight where I will be doing a basketball game as I had already committed to it, and honestly I need to the short break from the craziness that this week has brought.

Hope you all have a great day and Friday!

Man, bummer of a way to end the week with the bad news items. Hope it turns out to be a fun day playing Mr Mom and that the games later help you unwind a bit and take your mind off things.

PDP 63 is a perfect men's Autumn scent, the EDT sounds like it would be dynomite!

Hope you had a good time at the basketball game. Sometimes life can be hectic but you know what they say about a object in motion.

Trying to get to bed as tomorrow will be a busy day and probably won't be on much.

Thanks for all the comments and well wishes!

It felt great to be back on the court, and even got my first technical of the season out of the way in the first game.

Hope you all have a great day tomorrow, and I'm hoping. I can catch up in the evening.

Really far behind on most everyone's journals. Sorry about that. And I am deeply sorry for your loss and hope services for all were peaceful and a time to reflect on the joys of life. Was there a basketball game last night for you? Or is that tonight? Hope your day with kids was amazing even if you were playing Mr. Mom!

PdP 63 is one of those that I have had on my radar for ages, but still haven't pulled the trigger on. Well, I did buy the shave soap and balm for my nephew when he showed an interest in the straight razor, but haven't gotten any for myself.

Thanks Don. Friday was basketball, Saturday was services for funeral. With the family in town it has been a crazy couple of days. And any day with the kids is a good day

I need to get the cologne!

Razor: Karve Razor Plate F
Blade: Astra SP (3)
Soap/cream: CBL Stetson
Brush: Envy Shave Ute Brush
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Stetson
Cologne: Stetson

Well I almost skipped getting this entered today, but I have a little bit of time before we head to my grandma's for Sunday dinner. So I figured I would log it to make it official.

I used the CBL Stetson and and used Stetson all around what a great shave. I just love this scent. It was my grandpa's favorite and it always sends me down memory lane when I use it. I really appreciate Chris making this for me. It is the older formula though. I have about half left.

The Karve F plate was very aggressive, not the ideal every day shaver for me. I think I'd like a C or D plate of I was going to end up with one of these. But I'm just not a fan of the brass.

Well the services yesterday went well, and caught up with some family. Even my family from Kentucky made it in. So it was real nice to catch up. Tonight we are headed to Grandma's for sunday dinner and some of the extra family will be there also since most fly out tomorrow.

Have a good evening Cadre.

Good stuff Chad! Glad you got to try out the Karve, seems like you were getting good shaves from it in your videos. Rumor has it he's looking at doing the Karve in a SS version...I haven't seen anything concrete on this, however.

I've heard the same Josh and hope he stockpile produces them before releasing because he'll NEVER catch up with sales of those as long as it took with the brass. If I keep mine I may get it coated by Delta Echo.
