Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Boy, ummmm. Another terrible shave sounds.....great? :: walks away from the crazy guy purposefully having bad shaves ::

Nice shave Chad. I did a CBL + Timeless shave last night and it was the bee's knees (although I was using a blade that I'd like rate 100PACK). Good to know that the combo still works with a BAD blade!

Nice shave Chad. I found the exact same thing with the Ghost Pineapple (more then other Ghost soaps) and commented on it. Light if any cooling 1st pass and very clearly built with each pass. Well done to created the building and sneaking up on you experience.

Another great soap by CBL! Though, I am going to stop say that I need to get it. Truth is...I need to get them all! But I need to get Ghost Pineapple next!

CBL and Timeless hard to beat honestly.

Thanks for reading Dave.

Yes you do!

Razor: Timeless Razor .68 Scalloped
Blade: Van Der Hagen (1)
Soap/cream: CBL CBL Barbershop
Brush: TSC Legacy Brush
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Fine American Blend

Alright well another shave in my Bad Blade Series but I am currently experiencing YouTube issues so hopefully it will be up sooner rather than later. Overall the shave was actually pretty darn good. So far the only complaint on this blade is cost. But I will go more into that in the other thread as I am trying to not duplicate content too much.

So the soap. Today was the CBL Barbershop and I really am digging this barbershop smell. My wife says Stirling is still the best barbershop out there. It is her favorite scent that I own actually. For me it is hard to say, while I definitely enjoy Barbershop scents they aren't my favorites any longer. This one is nice and the added fougere note really rounds it out and cuts down on the powderiness.

Well yesterday I enjoyed the Jazz game where they brought back the Purple Jerseys to celebrate their 40th season. I love the Purple jerseys! But my favorites are still the mountain jerseys as I was a kid then, and Stockton and Malone were in their prime! But the purple sure looked good! Woke up this morning to the news about the shooting in LA last night. Prayers for all affected.

Have a good Day cadre!

I'm going to be ordering that Ghost Pineapple, for sure!

After all this time, I still can't get used to the name, Utah "Jazz"!

And terrible situation in LA.

Some how I didn't know that this barbershop isn't supposed to be without the powdery scent. Now I'm curious because barbershop = powdery to me so I don't read any further after I see that. I suppose it wouldn't hurt throwing that in the cart with my next purchase.

Utah Jazz is all I know. The Jazz are Utah and Utah is Jazz. It is the one thing in this state that unites the people. Utah and BYU fans united, mormons and non mormons united. Utah isn't the same without the Jazz.

There is definitely a faint powdery note but is very subdued. It is very worth trying!

Blade: Van Der Hagen (2)
Soap/cream: Uncle Jon's Clean Cotton
Brush: Razorock Disruptor
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Uncle Jon's Clean Cotton

Well today I grabbed my other Uncle Jon's soap the Clean Cotton and those of you that know me realize this scent is right up my alley! I absolutely love it. It does have a slight lemon note to it also which is fantastic. This is the tallow version of his soap and I will say that it is better than the veggie version they offer. Once again I do recommend this soap especially if there is a scent that interests you.

Well nothing crazy to report today. So thankful it is Friday! This week has been a drag and I have been so busy at work, looking forward to the weekend. Today after I am getting my eyes checked to re-new my contact subscription. Then I will be helping at the KoC bingo night. Then finally relax and watch the Jazz game and hope they beat the Celtics.

Have a Great Weekend Cadre.

....Then finally relax and watch the Jazz game....
That Anthony Davis is AWESOME! Oh wait, thought we were talking about New Orleans.

Sounds like a weekend of R&R is needed. I hope it gets delivered!

Chad be lovin’ his laundry soap shaves like:

That Clean Cotton scent sounds like it would be perfect for me. Don't even get me started on CBL soaps. I need to wait a little while, then visit his page once and just order everything on it.

Yes you do!!!

Come on...everyone love Snuggles!

Exactly!

I was given Gravity by TJ in Uncle Jon's and I really liked the performance. Residual Slickness is off the charts! I just need to find one I like now!

Razor: Parker Variant set to 5
Blade: Van Der Hagen (3)
Soap/cream: Cherry City Willamette Woods Soap
Brush: Envy Shave Ute Brush
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Old Spice Fresh Lime

Well today was actually a very good shave I enjoyed it very much. The soap is a very nice foresty smell that is not heavy in Pine so I really enjoy it. I also swear there is a citrus note here but I am not sure! I am getting real impressed with this soap and I am considering bumping it up a box on my rating scale which would slide it into tier 1. But at least one more use to be sure.

I wrapped up the shave with the Old Spice Fresh Lime and am ready for the day.

Well yesterday was a nice evening at Bingo with the Knights, and also getting ready today for Ute day. Jazz won last night so had a good night. We have trip to Costco this morning. A moment of silence for my wallet please LOL.

Have a great Saturday Cadre!

Dude that is no joke! I went to Costco last night for just some milk, cream, and eggs. I ended up with a WHOLE lot more! Let's just say that when the Missus asked How much Costco was I had to mutter the amount in a very hushed tone.
