What's in front of you?

@CBLindsay yes, I can see the targets more clearly now. For safety, I wear ballistic-rated fit-over goggles with them.
About the targets- the Martian is my favorite because it’s bright and fun. (I am strictly a target shooter; if it isn’t fun, there’s no reason for me to shoot at it.)

I get them from Baker Targets. Since I use a lot of them, I periodically order 100 of them, as they are cheaper in bulk.

I'm just surprised that after all the years of harassment that you've suffered that you don't have Elmer Fudd targets. But, I guess someone has to be the better sport.

50ft doesn't sound like a far distance...until you can't SEE the target. The bright color of the Alien certainly would make that part easier. My range supplies all the targets we could want but most are not very colorful so I use old/mis-printed soap labels to add more contrast. I will also use paper plates with a quick spray of flourecent paint. My daughter enjoys either steel targets that go DING when she hits them or trying to hit all the half dollar size animals on one page from 50ft or so. She's got good eyes an patience so she usually does a good job.

I like reactive targets, they are a lot of fun. I enjoy the audio and visual feed back. You are 100% right, it's gott be fun.
