Artisan Retailer / Hobbyist Appreciation Shave of the Day

Man, I don't think I have enough product outside of @CBLindsay products.

Could someone fill me in on our retailers and artisans in a small list so I can start forming up my repertoire to participate?

What is it specifically that you're wanting to know? All artisans listed here have associated websites that give info on their backgrounds and products offered, along with their descriptions.
 
@JanJosh I would definitely start with the artisans who have chosen to support the cadre. Stirling is a staple with something for everyone. Cajun blade makes some interesting stuff I’m sure you would enjoy. Adopted acres has come I’m strong with a ton of great products. And mystic waters is another long timer in the shaving community known for great soaps. I personally enjoy mystic waters lather, the way I lather it ends up being lower volume and slick as heck. Great for straight razor shaves.

There are tons of regional favorites (none here in California other than CBL tgat I’m aware of). I’ve lived for a long time is Longrifle. The soap seems pretty simple at first but man is it nice.

Hit up magards. They sell a lot of different products and brands. If nothing else you’ll get an idea of what is out there. There are a lot of brands I’ve never seen or used but they have them there for sale.

They are no longer an artisan retailer with the cadre but saponificio verasino is worth owning at least one complete set of soap and aftershave.

…oh and don’t forget to put a premium brush on your list. We have hobbyists who can hook you UP.

Besides tinker and luecke who else works on gear and accessories? Didn't we used to work with Paladin?

Eric @Smattayu (sorrentino brush works) has been with us from the start. He turns some fantastic brush handles and usually has the knots to put in them too. I have one of his handles and @BarberDave has a number of his brushes.
I am not sure Paldin is still in business. I am pretty sure he was either slowing way down or shutting down...but yes he was one of our artisan/ retailers.

@ShawnF is our resident metals guy. He can forge pretty much anything you want. I had him make me an awesome strop hanger (pretty simple work) but I've got my eye on one of his straight razors. He isn't pumping out a lot of straights at this time but what he has made is awsome. I have a couple of his knives (including a sheath knife for camping/hiking and demascus kitchen knife) and they are incredible. I even made a video of me shaving with the sheath knife...its THAT sharp.

@Bill M does honing work for several of us. He uses some different stones and techniques so between him and Matt you really do have a lot of honing skill to leverage. Barberdave and I have both used to hone for some members but since Matt and bill came along I haven't honed anything for anyone else.

I have a feeling some of our artisans might not have a site and this will be all DM transactions

To be an artisan retailer on our site, you have to have a functioning commercial website, to be a hobbyist, You cannot have a functioning website and must do everything via DM through the vendor and hobbyist stores that we have set up, a complete list of all of them is there for you to review
