Great shave. Lot's ots of changes today. Polo Green used to be my everyday scent. After our son was born, my wife developed allergic reactions to most colognes and perfumes. I haven't worn it in 30 years.

How did you like using the AL-13++? I have a jar of MdC Nature. I haven't tried it yet. I've heard the soaps are awesome. I've waiting to use up some other products before I open it.

I have Polo Green also and it smells great in the bottle but when I put it on for some reason the scent just turns lousy. It’s strange because as a rule that kind of scent is supposed to be good on men with dark colouring. I guess my body chemistry is weird!

That's unfortunate because it’s a marvelous scent. I wish my wife never developed allergies to colognes and perfumes so I could still wear it. 🤧

Wednesday morning:

Hot shower
Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
Super Speed/7 O’Clock day 4
Proraso Green SS
Gold Bond Moisturizer
Proraso Green AS Splash

A quickie but a very goodie even if I say so myself - the Proraso Green soap performed brilliantly, the Gold Bond moisturizer felt so soothing as well as cooling, and the Proraso Green aftershave went on with a great chill along with its nice scent. Now I have to go help my cousin do some moving - he and his wife bought a new house.

Enjoy your day and your shaves - be well and stay safe!

Williams Wednesday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse

Astra SP
Cold Water Rinse
Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Old Spice Classic After Shave

The Williams Mug Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #144 Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Hoffritz Travel Razor and the Astra SP Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Old Spice Classic After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Another wonderful shave this morning! Returned to Fine Accoutrements and their killer "Lavender Pour Homme" shave soap & splash. Fantastic scent! A near spot-on dupe of Czech & Speake's Oxford & Cambridge. Exceptional lather from the original formula puck, built with the WWBW badger brush for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed Thayers unscented witch hazel, the matching aftershave lotion & Czech & Speake "Oxford & Cambridge" EdC.

Hope you have a great day. :)

I constructed a Barbershop themed shave this morning, and it has provoked a rant and a possible neologism. First, the rant. Time was, a Barbershop scent meant a scent orbiting in close orbit around a few core scents: Clubman, Barbicide, Talc-ish powder profiles. Now, anything goes. Thats fine, its just not helpful. So todays shave was Stirling Barbershop soap, with Wet Shave Products Barbershop AS. I call this a Frankenshop shave. The Steel Christopher Bradley with the short argyle handle deftly handled 18 huge hours of growth. My insomnia shaves are really upping my shave count. They're helping the insomnia though, so that's cool. I used the Stirling brush because matchie matchie. Have a great day everyone. See you late tonight! The Soft Scrub photobombed me!6626.jpg

Thank you! Yes I felt like mixing it up a lot today. I enjoyed the ++. The results were great. Honestly I could have done with just two passes but I added a third. If I were to use it daily I would stick with two passes. In my experience, pilot error occurs with more efficient razors on the third pass.
MdC is a fantastic soap. I 3017’d a tub of Original last year. I have Absinthe and Magellan so I’m set for awhile. You have more patience than I do. I don’t think I would leave an MdC soap untouched!
