Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Fantastic shave with which to close out the workweek! Returned to Ariana & Evans and their excellent "Peach & Cognac" shave soap and splash. Phenomenal scent! A delicious woody, spicy boozy peach with a phenomenal lather built with the Semogue boar brush for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, the matching aftershave splash & Tom Ford Tom Ford for Men EdT. Again, zero feedback from the alum.

BBS bliss!!

Hope you have a great day. :)

Saturday morning: (yuck!)

Hot shower
Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
Super Speed/Perma Sharp day 3
PAA Cold Spices SS
Lubriderm Moisturizer
PAA Cold Spices AS Splash

The reason I said “yuck” is because I DETEST this Cold Spices soap and aftershave. Yes, the soap lathers well and it’s very slick but the menthol really screws up the beautiful Shulton Old Spice scent, and it’s not that skin friendly despite the slickness. Thank goodness it’s almost finished. The Lubriderm moisturizer gave me plenty of much needed soothing because my face felt sort of dry and a bit irritated. Last but not least the Cold Spices aftershave which I made me curse like an angry truck driver. Three passes gave me a great BBS shave but did I enjoy it? NO. Another couple of times and this stuff will be finished.

Enjoy your day and your shaves - be well and stay safe!

Saturday's Cold Water Shave
Fat February

Cold Water Rinse
Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap
Jayaruh #292 HMW Badger
Gem Open Comb Damaskeene
Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade
Cold Water Rinse
Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Duru Cologne

It is the last day this week with the Open Comb Damaskeene razor, and a good week it was.

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #292 HMW Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem Open Comb Damaskeene razor and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Duru Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Fantastic shave this morning! Returned to Macduff's Soap Co. and their excellent "Royal Earl Grey" shave soap and splash. It's been a long time since I last used it and I had forgotten how nice it is. Phenomenal scent and an incredibly thick and slick lather built with the WWBW synth for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, the matching aftershave splash & Viktor & Rolf "Spicebomb" EdT. Again, zero feedback from the alum.

BBS bliss!!

Hope you have a great day. :)
