I've had this soap/AS for years. Just today I noticed the soap and the aftershave have different spellings. I thought the Super Bowl was interesting to watch. I could not have cared less who won, but at least for the first half I thought the guys were impressive and showed why they deserve to be there. Also, tune into Drinks & Daves tomorrow for our 3rd annual Super Bowl commercial wrap-up.

Following in Steven's footprints (but actually ahead of him) I got our NASA tickets for a visit in Houston prior to jumping on a cruise ship in April. I think that's the last of the planning that needed to happen. But next....Valentine's Day!

I have yet to try D&D...is it a fave scent of yours?

Of course....I'm expecting to arrive at the Johnson Space center and find several areas off limits and no longer part of the tour. When asked, a tour guide will say, "we don't speak of the Bougie man and his clumsy attempt to 'become a real astronaut' with the space station display toilet.....his last words before security arrived were, 'this doesn't look too difficult'".

Buckle in, it's been a few packed days.

Saturday was our Valentine's trip to Napa. We started at Darioush, one of my wife's favorite wineries. I had a gift card waiting there for her since she always finds things in their gift shop she wants, but never buys. We're members there and towards the end of our tasking I asked to be poured a wine that wasn't on the list. Our host checked and said this year's released isn't coming out until next month and they only have one display bottle of an older vintage he was told not to touch. Not a big deal until we later heard the host of the table near us bringing them two glasses of said wine. I let our host know this and while he offered to get us a pour we didn't have time and ended up getting some free Persian pistachios and truffles thrown into our bag. Then the manager came by and told them to comp the overpriced hand lotion she was getting as well. Not bad. Then off to Restoration Hardware for lunch, which was whatever. My wife had been wanting to eat there, so we did. Too pretentious and overpriced with too loud techno whatever music playing as sat under chandeliers that were trying too hard to be trendy. Then to Spottswoode. Each time we go up to Napa I try to hit at least one winery we haven't been to. We had gotten a bottle of wine passed down from my wife's boss one year (he doesn't drink and gets good gifts) so I thought it would be a good place to go. This was the type of visit I really enjoy. This has been a family estate since the patriarch came up from Sothern California looking for a quieter life and bought the property which happened to have a vineyard in 1972. The vineyards were planted in the 1800's and are the longest continuously planted vineyards in the country. We got to walk the property through the vineyards to the old family home which they still use when visiting and got to pick oranges from their trees in the garden courtyard. The whole of the property is in a residential part of town so it's interesting to see famous vines planted right across the street from someone's house.

Sunday I don't remember much. There was some chores. Power scrubbing the tile in the shower before I seal it again (which I didn't get to), and watching City of God which was next on our movie poster list. It was whatever.

Monday brought to the close a journey that started on Saturday and ended with me getting the first brand new car I've ever had in my life. And due to a dealership's poor customer service. But tune into Drinks and Daves next week for the story!

OK.......this is why you are universally despised (but only by those really mean, ugly people....not me....I think you're the best)......tease us with the Buckle up line....then leave us hangin'?????? WTactualF???

There may be coal in your christmas stocking if this kind of bait and switch keeps happening. Get it together, Bud.
