Thin lather is a common complaint from modern (reformulated) Williams. Which is the reason we started doing February Williams challenges in the first place: to spend some time and effort learning how to lather it better. But, as Dave said, the best thing about Williams is its slickness. It doesn't matter how thick, or how thin (as I proved last time), the slickness is king and you will get an awesome shave regardless of your lather quality.
