Well here's a blast from the past. The last time I used this razor was Jan 12, 2022 and the last time I used a Feather DE blade was over a year ago. Both worked like a charm, but being a professional shaver, I had an unfair advantage. I will still state for a fact that Wizamet is still the best all-around blade, but Feather may pass it up in certain razors.

Decent weekend with some holiday stuff, some yard work stuff. The movie next up on our posted is Gone with the Wind. We got through the first half which just prompted questions from me to the wife asking why the movie is so popular since both the main characters seems like huge (insert appropriate expletives here). I'm in the same boat as Gear with a week of work until some time off heading up to Oregon for the big event.

With classic movies, it used to be about escapism. It wasn't always about making a point or enlightening the masses......it was about selling popcorn and forgetting the world for 2+ hours

Well, we finished Gone with the Wind last night. What a pile of ..... Not only were the main characters real @(#@)* to others through the whole movie, this 4 hour slog ended on a cliff hanger. It ended, I looked at my wife and said "What the hell was that"??!?! I should have looked to see what the next movie is on our poster.

If you follow my journal, which you all really should, you know that I've had the black striped Stirling brush for a long time and it's my workhorse as it goes on every trip with me. Long ago I saw the green stripe in a picture and thought I need that some day too because it looked nice. Well, many years later I finally threw it in my cart with my annual Stirling purchase and it goes well with this soap. I also refound my Christmas Eve EdT during the move, so I'm less concerned about my lowering level of Cape Heartache from Imaginary Authors which has been my go to pine-scented scent.

Going to be a mellow day for me at work this week likely. Already a lot of meetings were cancelled because we're getting close to the holidays. But now we're also slammed with the the score they use to calculate overcrowding in the Emergency Department to be at a level I've never heard in the last almost 2 decades I've been here. That means we're cancelling any remaining meetings and my department kind of just stays hidden behind our doors until the battle is over.

Since you now know how it ended , there is Sort Of a sequel ? / Mini series that picks up their story .. It's called Scarlett and is a SIX HOUR mini series !! You might want to also check it out....

It sounds like another 6 hours with the Butler crew is not exactly what Dave is looking for at the moment. But maybe watching a not great James Bond actor pretend he’s a Southern ne’r-do-well rogue is a very specific itch he’s looking to scratch?

I actually liked the dalton bond.. Not my favorite though... But for some reason when I first saw about him being in the GWTW sequel , I kept hearing in the Bond style him saying the frankly my dear I dont give a D@mn line said like the ( Bond, James Bond voice / style ) .....

PS.. Sorry...... I was just trying to be helpful since Usually Most people do Not like things left on a cliffhanger...

So historically inaccurate movies aren’t your thing? Perhaps inane science fiction is more your style. Comic book characters? GWTW is a classic, and has entertained millions for 86 years. You should read the book - the characters, the war, and the setting are fully fleshed out.
