Erm. I think Henckell is a German brand. Super great razor though. I have one quite similar to this one and it’s a terrific shaver. It’s feature is it is a cryogenic treated blade.I'm adding Swedish steel to my meager stable of razors. This looks to be a really clean example of a Henckel Friodur 70 ½. I look forward to honing and stropping and putting it to good use.

Boy, did I goof that up. Misspelled it, wrong attribution, the works. Thank you for the gentle correction, Rich.Erm. I think Henckell is a German brand. Super great razor though. I have one quite similar to this one and it’s a terrific shaver. It’s feature is it is a cryogenic treated blade.
Where's the picture of your hand against that one....for comparison?Well, this got here faster than I expected.

That's not what I thought he would use for comparison.Where's the picture of your hand against that one....for comparison?
I have one of those with the black horn scales. The scales are shaped differently, and it can be a bit awkward, but a great shaver.
Those look great! Generally by the ‘60’s not a lot of ivory is making it to razor scales. What do you think @Luecke3262 ?I'm given to understand that these Dorko 43s are likely from the early 60s and perhaps have ivory scales. I can't make out any Schreger Lines from the photos, so I can't be sure until they arrive. @Majorrich can you shed any additional light, by chance?
