Relaxing day. Our eldest son is over for the day, which is very nice. He came just as I was beginning my shave, and we got to talking. Halfway through my first pass I realized that I’d switched from WTG to ATG. I noticed because the shave was getting rougher, making me think I needed to change the blade. Then I looked in the mirror, saw my ATG upstroke, and understood. So I switched to XTG for the rest of the pass, finishing up with a full ATG pass. No skin cells were harmed by my carelessness. 🤭

Have a great Saturday, Cadre! I hope to see you on tomorrow’s Zoom call. Rumor has it that @BarberDave will be giving away a rare English razor formerly owned by King Charles (full disclosure: used when he was Prince Charles). Anyway, that’s the rumor that seems to be going around! 🤞

Good evening, Cadre. A late shave for a 9:30 appointment tomorrow morning. Alas, the highly anticipated razor giveaway on last night’s Zoom turned out to be just a rumor (sigh). I suspect it was started to boost attendance on the Zoom. I can’t imagine who might do such an unscrupulous, dastardly thing. 😠

A much needed shave this afternoon. I almost shaved yesterday, but thought better of it and didn’t. A couple of back to back meetings tonight with great people. Very much looking forward to seeing everyone. Happy Friday, Cadre (if it’s alright with @GearNoir).
 
Tim Landers’ FB page. I haven’t sent a friend request to him because we were only HS classmates and acquaintances, not friends. We have mutual friends, however, including one mutual FB friend. Nice to see he’s still out there playing the music he loves.

This shave was yesterday’s shave before I went to my home group’s meeting. Two of our members were absent, a man terminally ill with cancer, and his girlfriend of many years. Yesterday he implored his family and friends to have an “attitude of gratitude.” That was what we discussed last night. At 4:15 this afternoon, Jeff died, surrounded by people who loved him. I would like to take this opportunity to ask that you all remember Jeff’s words, and do your best to embrace an “attitude of gratitude “. If you’re so inclined, please say a prayer for Jeff & Jeannie, and their families.
