And early this week we found backyard guests. Had to put up a barrier to keep Deb and the dog out.

Home Front-
So 100 years ago we hosted an exchange student from Japan and he was in high school at the time. He came back for a year of college (dorm life) later and spent every weekend of that school year with us too. So this young man is getting married this year, traditional Japanese wedding and wants his Texas parents to attend. So collecting cans and may have to sell a kidney, but we are going to make that happen.

Lastly, we are empty nesters again. They grow up so fast …

So awesome Tim! That’ll be great fun!

The visit to Japan sounds as though it will be very rewarding. I’d like to visit again one day. 👍

A very nice shave was had this morning and kept the DE rolling along today too. I was lazy and a bit beat up from a long day yesterday. Anyway I wanted to work on the splay of this new synthetic, so I grabbed the Turkish copper bowl to give it a good workout.

I got the soap/water dialed in and hit this thing like it owed me money. Man, it whipped up an outstanding yogurt smooth lather, that was nice and slick. Three effortless passes left me BBS for the win!

Wrapped everything up with a post shave lather and quick rinse. A healthy splash of the aftershave and everything was right as rain! Great start to the day with a late morning shave. Life is good!

Home Front-
Long day yesterday. Left the house at 2:30a for our fishing tournament and got home around 6:30p. It’s a deep lake so it took us a bit to find a pattern. The wind also beat on us all day yesterday, but we still managed to get into the money, scoring 5th place. Not much going on around the home front today. Strong winds at home too, so just working on things around the house.
