Shave #351 (500 Open Blade Shaves) of 2021:
Gear: Blackland Vector, Feather Pro blade, Yaqi Moka synth brush, CBL Steel Grey Fougere soap, homemade witch hazel/aloe mix, Skin Bracer AS, and TF Oud Minerale to finish!
Up working day early for a refreshing shave and to get all the things packed up…and the car cleaned out a bit too I guess from normal life stuff (kids stuffing garbage into the back seat pockets and whatnot lol).
Really great shave to send me on my way. Finished off with Oud Minerale to really put the cherry on top!
Rain has quieted down some this morning, hoping that stays like that so we can at least get out of the coastal/valley boarded passes with ease.
Got some really nice gifts from the family, including a couple pieces of clothing from a really nice local surf shop called Mollusk. They’ve got the boho SoCal/surf wear vibe down perfectly!

Made pretty decent time yesterday on the drive to the parents/in-laws. Only one major wreck on the roads that slowed things down a bit. The biggest play was a long pause in the rains (resulting in us seeing like 20 rainbows on the drive up) that allowed for uninhibited speeds. It’s just a long drive any way ya slice it though.
Great evening visiting with my parents and grandparents yesterday, having dinner and a small a Christmas Eve present opening for the kids there. Back to the in-laws where we’re staying in time to hang out with some extended family and have some drinks.
Up a bit early as the kids, of course, were chomping at the bit to get Santa gifts opened. Later will be our in-laws’ family gift exchange for all the cousins and secret Santas. Then everyone is going together to see the newest Sing movie. Then an evening of hanging out and pigging out!
