Ramblings of a MilkCrate

Not that I could see this morning, I slept through it. Deb said it was intense though and we got 1.5” of rain.

Did it make it all the way down there?
I guess it's good that you slept through it :ROFLMAO:

Sure did. It rolled in around 5. No damage to the vehicles, but the wind uprooted a bunch of trees in the area.

The Process-
Very nice early morning shave today. On deck is a new to me, shave ready SR. Of course it got the nod. And a bit thank you to @Dave in KY . It sounded like a good day to go decadent, so I grabbed the DSC which has a large knot. And for some Pineapple Noir goodness, Succes got the nod. Loaded a bit into my copper bowl and got after it. I may or may not have had a good size dollop in the bowl today. It started out pasty, but with the addition of a lot of water it just exploded. Man I dig that Pineapple scent. Had more than enough lather for 3 passes, a post shave lather, and then some. Good stuff right there.

No leather this morning, I wanted to check out an unmolested edge on this SR. I went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. That was an outstanding shave and I am BBS for the win! The razor was very smooth and removed the stubble without incident. This is a really nice edge. I was just engulfed in the smooth edge and the scent of Pineapple that stayed throughout the shave. Yup, really digging it. Wrapped everything up with a splash of water and a pat dry. Then a healthy splash of the AS and everything was right as rain! For me, the AS starts off with a light scent that is green. I don't really pick up the Pineapple and once the green fades, I still don't smell the Pineapple. But there are some really nice skin food ingredients in both the soap and AS. That is a great start to the day. Life is good!

The Process-
Mid morning shave today ... IKR? Had a late night and hit the snooze one too many times this morning. Thankfully I wasn't late for work, but I had to put my shave off just a bit. So anyway, I circled back to the Stirling One. I really dig this scent and so does the missus. I hit it with a damp brush for a 30 second load time and whipped up a really nice, great smelling lather.

Trying something a bit different with 10 laps on cloth and 20 laps on leather. I went with my standard three passes of WTG, XTG and ATG with no drama to report. BOOM! Another outstanding shave and I am BBS for the win! Great edge on this razor and the Stirling makes easy work with a DE or straight. Once again the scent carried throughout the shave and it was very nice. Finished that up with a post shave lather, while I cleaned the shave gear. Wrapped everything up with a splash of water and a pat dry. Then a healthy splash of the AS and everything was right as rain! Oh yes it was. I agree with the missus and I am really digging this scent. Life is good!

Home Front-
TGIF! With everything going on with the pandemic and the oil markets and what-not, we still haven't slowed down down at the office. Lots of current projects with more on the horizon, so that is a good thing. I haven't been told what I am doing yet this weekend. So it may or may not be a chill weekend, we shall see. I found out that the missus really loves my CBL Patchouli. Not just the scent, but the soap base. Apparently she has used it several times recently. I told her to use whatever she likes on the shelf, it's all good. Hopefully that wasn't a limited release. I don't know much, but I do know we are cooking ribs for dinner. Oh man, living large tonight. Did I mention that I smell amazing?
