Most banks offer it with their mobile apps
It is good for trusted contacts and such but I would not use it on eBay etc.
The large bank I work for allows it, and I worked on the team that rolled it out.
Personally it is secure and banks like it because the dispute process is easier with the contracts we have set up, BUT as a consumer I still prefer Venmo to pay my friends. But I have used Zelle a few times.

This is working well with the family. Pay my rent with it now.
My wife uses it sometimes. Not often. More for when she needs to do a bank to bank transfer with a family member. Most of the time for shopping and friends or more informal purposes. she uses Venmo or Paypal.
Those are the only two I've ever used, or really even heard of. This thread is the first time I've even heard mention of Zelle.
