Why are soaps so addicting?

Shave pastor's lathers look like Merkur man's lathers from another site. Very similar. Curious to see how similar his method is.
I used Merkur man's method for quite some time. Burned through soaps very quickly. Lathers were great, though.

Primarily for the scent variety but also for the different characteristics of each soap. I like how they all behave slightly differently.

I'm very sensitive to scents so can't use aftershave or cologne and rely on shaving soaps and bath soaps for my scent variety.

Sensative like breathing issues or skin irritation?

Both depending on the type of scent compounds and sent strength.

Tabac doesn't irritate my skin but causes migraines.

Razorock soaps irritate my skin badly, no matter which of their scents.

Fine soaps smell wonderful but trigger migraines.

Alcohol, spices and aqua scents burn my skin badly.

Just about every edt will trigger migraines so I rely on my shave soaps to give me the pleasure of scents and that makes them addictive for me ?

Dang, that’s a bummer!

Trying different soap bases is one of the best parts about this hobby IMO. They all varry so much and each is different.

Artisans seem to take better care of their customers IMO than big companies. Some have done colaborations with fourm members, customer service can be incredible, scent offerings are pretty much limitless, quality ingredients, and care for details. Would much rather support small business that truely want people to enjoy their products, rather than most Big Companies that tend to cut corners and reformulate to save money.

I might have a problem. Everything pictured but Soap Commander and Stirling
