What were your firsts?

A great brush indeed. And from the pics, it doesn't look like it needs a new knot. Looks new! My first badger shows way more wear than that.

The picture was taken a couple months after I made it. It still looks good, but it sheds 12-15 hairs every time I use it and I despise having Badger hair in my lather. One of these days I will break down and buy a new knot for it as I really enjoyed using the brush.

Oh, ok. 12-15 each time is insane!

I got into wet shaving because of my sons. I bought my youngest son a starter kit for this past Christmas & then learned another son was giving the same gift. I decided to keep it and use it myself. So instead of a father converting his son, I suppose you could say a son converted his father!

My first set up was a Parker 90R de razor, Perfecto badger brush, TOBS sandalwood cream, & a tuck of Shark blades. It did the trick, I’m hooked!

Get your boys on here. We gotta hit 100 to get chadto shave.

My first DE setup:
Razor - RazoRock Black Tie (still have but never use)
Soap - RazoRock Don Marco (long gone)
Brush - Escali badger (gave away; don't recommend)
Blade - Red Israeli Personna (haven't purchased since first sampler)

i have like 200 of the blades haven’t tried the rest.

Those Personnas are one of the three blades I keep stocked. I don't think I have 200 though, but that's just because I'm older than TJ so he'll have to shave longer.

My first were a Micro Touch One DE razor with a Shark blade, an engraved boar brush from Etsy, and Edwin Jagger Sandalwood soap.

I still have them all, although I won't touch a Shark blade, and I had to replace the knot on the brush with a Grade A Silvertip 16mm from TGN.
