Shave Enthusiast
So the last couple of months, maybe more like a year, I’ve been finishing the same GD66 edge switching off between a gs7 .8 and .4, nice enough, but i’d previously relegated an inexpensive modern norton washita to kitchen knives and decided to spend the last 3 months finishing the 66 edge off the washita.

Definitely different and expected to be not as smooth/sharp; but it is definitely smooth and sharp in its own way. After every shave i do about 50-100 laps on the washita. The shave are 2-3 passes and results very good, never feel like the edge is gonna bite me or too sharp lol). I think this is close to a soft arkansas and maybe in time it’ll get smoother… maybe not; but I definitely don’t recommend it if you looking for that soft or velvety sharp feel.
