What do you reach for? When your not sure, what you are in the mood for?

I guess that is why I reached for the Derby stick.

I've only used 1\3rd of this stick so far. After that I have 11 more to go.

What I meant to say is that I do plan to finish off this stick since it's in my den. But I don't think I can shave with it everyday until it's gone.

The other 11 sticks I'm not sure how I will use them up. Maybe it will stay in the rotation, until I use it all up. Or maybe I'll move them and just use Arko as my only Turkish shave soap.

Just recently picked up their Forbidden Fruit scent and it's fantastic. I'm thinking about getting St. Barts as well.
In my less than expert opinion, A&E/The Club (Peter Charkalis) is one of the accomplished scent formulators in the business. I have Forbidden Fruit and several others. I never have a bad shave with his soaps. Forbidden Fruit is the third of the soaps in the triumvirate of Khalifa, Chasing the Dragon and FF. Khalifa has attained something of a cult status and I would really like to try some one day (Chasing the Dragon too).

His soaps are really great. I only own forbidden fruit and Spartacus, both are fantastic in terms of both performance and scent. I'm lucky enough to live not too far from Pasteur's Pharmacy here in NYC and had a chance to sniff a bunch of their soaps. It was really hard not to just buy them all!

I spent a whole afternoon and lots of cash at Pasteur's in the Summer of 2018. I used a soap and balm that I bought that afternoon (Eufros Lima-Especias) just yesterday. Great store for the shaving aficionado.

In my normal rotation, I tend to stick with "traditional" artisans like MdC and SV, with the only new'ish so-called high-end artisan being B&M. However, when I have one of those days when I just don't put any thought into it (which includes pretty much every Monday morning), I go super high-end..........bowl lathering a dollop of Cremo + brush loaded with bowl-pressed Arko. :ducks:
