Oh man, didn’t mean to Steven you guys and leave you hanging.

After Charlottetown we stopped at Sydney. This was the most eh city of our Canadian stops. A little graffiti and broken windows. But we did run into a very chatty park worker who wanted to welcome us and tell us all about the weather and invite us back.

Got off the ship two days ago in Boston. Dropped our luggage off at the hotel and then started a hike to the center for the hop on/off bus. Beautiful city that was nice and clean and drivers that like to honk. The rows upon rows of brownstones each a bit different from the last was something to see.

Yesterday my wife wanted to see the Harvard campus since we were so close. So we did. It was fairly busy for a Sunday because we hit the opening weekend of crew season. We poked around three of the free museums they have on campus.

Last day of the trip and for the first time we were going to hit a bunch of rain. So we caught a ride to the public library because we were told it was pretty incredible and the roof should come in handy.

As it turns out, tsa likes the passport card better than Ohio’s real id drivers license. 🪪 and yes, they did stop everything to gawk at my ball end tech. 😆 I think I have my data roaming turned off so I don’t incur terrible roaming charges. We have contracted for a portable WiFi router for this trip. We still may get an eSIM just in case. We start boarding for our first leg to Dulles in a few minutes.

Well, it wouldn’t be a proper trip without a mishap. They tried to do a patch to the planes computer before taking off. Well. They bricked the plane! 😂 so we are camped out waiting for our replacement steed to take us to Japan.
There it sits. Our broken plane. ✈️

We were all boarded and they had us deplane and trek to the far reaches of concourse D. They have a guy out trying to thumb us a ride.

Seated in the peasant section was not altogether unpleasant for the first 6 hours. Of course, it was a 14 hour flight. Why people decide to heed all the windows shut for the whole flight is beyond my understanding. I had hoped to be able to see some sights before turning in, but we arrived 5 hours later than we had planned on.
