Just recevied this uknown brand tech off eBay. The description says its NOS and made in the 60s with the initials on the box as SB. The seller thinks that means solid brass but I am not sure. When fully assembled it is 3.25" long and weighs 48 grams. It is definitely brass and the handle is two piece screw together. The handle threads I think are 8/32 so almost impossible to get a replacement unless its custom made. Certain Gem razors use this size except the threads are male. The shave was super smooth and close and absolutely zero irritation. I polished it up so it looks great. The picture is before the polish. The seller specializes in military goods so possibly it was military issued. If it was military issue the time period would mean the Vietnam War.

Why are you calling it a Tech?
Absolutely. I know the top looks different because it has two lock pins that hold the top and bottom plate together. The head is paper thin but very sturdy. My first shave this morning was amazing. So smooth.

Thanks Dave! Though I was wondering who made it and such. I know sometimes it is nearly impossible to identify some of these razors especially if the company was short lived.

Ive had one of those for years, and we’ve talked about them a few times at the other place, and we haven’t figured out exactly what they are.
They are most decidedly military. But Country is up for debate. Some say British, French, or Swiss.... nobody has been able to match up the logo. I don’t think SB means solid brass.

That’s a interesting razor. Does it have a broad arrow stamped on it anywhere? If it doesn’t then it definitely isn’t British military issue.

It has no markings at all and nobody really knows what SB means on the case it came in. I can definitely say it shaves very well. Smooth as butter. It feels military and made of solid brass.

What are your thoughts on the shave and razors you'd compare it to KJ ?

Did shotley bridge ever make razors ? Kind of looks like a version of one of that companies old logos? I know they made swords and then other stuff after demand for swords went down...

I believe these were made in Russia or Eastern Europe somewhere. I see them coming from the Russian Fed, Czech Rep, Ukraine, Hungary, Romania, etc. quite a bit on eBay.
