Hi there,
I bought two bay rum soaps from Amazon just as a comparison. I really like both barbershop scents from High Thyme Farmacy and Lather and Wood. I know there are zillions of bay rum soaps and creams and aftershaves out there. I will say that I was disappointed in the one from High Thyme Farmacy but very enthusiastic about the one from Lather and Wood. I think the reason I was disappointed in the HTF one was that I felt it really has a subtle scent. The one from L&W has a much more pronounced scent of typical cloves and cinnamon. Now, full disclosure I haven't lathered fully with either, they just showed up today/yesterday.
And as we all know, going down the bay rum rabbit hole drains the pocket book and makes one wonder where to keep all those damn pucks. I'm probably bringing the HTF one down to my GFs place and keeping the L&R one here.
So I just thought I'd post as a few observations. I have not ventured into the den of PAA with their atomic bay rum, what I'd love to find is bay rum from say the 1930s or earlier even.
