Hello Cadre,
As you may have noticed The Shaving Cadre has continued to grow, and yesterday we cleaned up and edited our TOU. The owners are extremely grateful for your participation and involvement here at The Cadre. If you have been around since the beginning, read some history, or just uncovered it on your own; you should realize just how committed the owners are to this place and its overall success. As The Cadre has continued to grow and personal lives continue to increase demand, the owners realized they need help. But not at the cost of the integrity of what The Cadre is and represents. So with that being said we the owners are proud to present a new program called The Concierge.
What is The Concierge?: It is a virtual help desk. These are individuals who can assist you with simple edits to posts, merging of threads, movement of threads, and assist with other random questions you might have. All questions about the working of The Cadre or the site should still be directed to the owners.
What the Concierge is NOT: It is NOT a moderator program. They are not responsible for moderating posts for violations of TOU. They just like all members are HIGHLY encouraged to use the report button in the bottom left of every post WHEN they believe they see a violation. The owners handle all reports as one, meaning they discuss the action to be taken on every report. You can guarantee that when a report is closed the decision was reached by a 3-0 decision.
Other asks: We will ask our concierge to also assist with manning programs, increasing content, and assist you the members with random edit requests, navigation, closing of BST threads, etc. They will help welcome new members just like we all do. They will also carry a new badge that states, "ASK ME" essentially pointing them out to new members so they know who they can ask generic questions to.
There is no time limit to how long a person will hold this position. It is voluntary. As of now we have added two individuals to this program. @dangerousdon and @Spider
