Strop prices compared to performance

I have a Tony Miller strop, it's a great strop and I love it, but unfortunately it was the strop I learned on so it has some battle scars. I haven't bought a strop in a long time.

...Off to shop for strops. Lol.

Refurbishing strops is fairly easy, it may not be very pretty but you can get them in very fine, usable shape. You can super glue any cut flaps down. I have used those soft finger nail files to clean up ragged edges. And you can work up a WD sandpaper progression to 2K or even 5k and get as good as new, if not better.

I have done a small bit of leather work over the years, maybe I will try a refurb. Thanks for the advice.

So these showed up today. I think the blame goes to @Bill M and @thecajunblade for this purchase. My wife may want your guys phone number so that she can have a word with you, lol.

I’m sure she just wants to let us know how grateful she is for helping you to economize against your normal extravagance.
Sometimes it is noble cause to keep the unrestrained from forever spending all of the baby’s milk money on shaving toys. 😎
