Straight Razor of the day

Yes I do use Lucky Tiger Face Tonic after almost all my shaves. When I use Rose scented soaps I switch to Thayer’s Rose Petal Witch Hazel, otherwise it’s the Lucky Tiger product. It is alcohol free with a very mild citrus scent. Think orange,tangerine or grapefruit, giving a fresh bright uplifting scent.The scent is short lived so it won’t interfere with any other splash, balm, EDT or cologne. Some of the key ingredients are Chamomile, Calendula and Aloe Vera. It just feels great on my face after a shave but YMMV. It certainly is not an expensive product but I think it punches well above it’s price point. Try it….you can pick up a bottle for under $20.

Some years ago this razor gave me the nastiest slice I’ve ever had with a razor. I put it away for a long time and have only used it sparingly ever since. But, not too worry, today was super smooth, super efficient. And the new Frosted Spearmint was definitely an unusual choice given the weather. It’s a new arrival so I wanted to try it out. I’d say it’s cool but not freezing. The after shave, on the other hand, is more in the freeze category. :)

Repeat performance from the MSC Frosted Spearmint. Same impression as yesterday - great soap, cold, not frozen but after shave freezes for sure. I love the looks of this razor, nice shave, too.

A tale of two shaves. Try as I may, I have not been able to get the Shave Den soap to work. After three tries using varying amounts of water and lathering time I’ve given up. In all cases the lather simply disappeared off my face before I could complete a pass. One pass of nearly unbearable tugging and I gave up, again. The second shave was delightful. 👍🏻

Lovely, clean and easy shave with the Paragon. It’s the only John & Wm Ragg razor I’ve seen that’s not named Napoleon.

Hi @KarlG. Was wondering if you got this razor from Joseph. He has some absolute stunning razors by this manufacturer. This razor you have is all class. Great stuff.

I bought this particular Ragg (and another) from a lawyer from Tennessee (I think) after a four year search to find a razor I had missed out on eBay. I eventually found it and we made a trade of multiple razors and various shave items. Unfortunately, I don’t remember his name.

I am a big Ragg fan 😍
